And this is what happens when espn spends October through April focus on 5-6 teams/players or so (Knicks, Durant, Lakers, Warriors, Celtics, and Embiid)

It is hard for casuals to actually want to watch a finals if one of the listed things above is not included

Was boston not old enough last year when they beat Miami in the conference finals? It is a simple yes or no question

This is an NBA talking head. Not a random twitter person

Did they win the championship last year?

Or did their immaturity show in the Finals against a more experienced group?

I don’t agree with what this guy is saying. Tatum and Brown have plenty of experience to win a title.

But you are the one choosing to interpret everything under the sun as a slight against Miami.

Last year Boston wasn’t good enough to beat Golden State.

I doubt any Warrior fans here would take that as a slight against their team. Because it isn’t.

Brown had no business making all nba, and it makes this miss and now summer so much more crucial

If there's still anyone out there doubting the jump Bam made in one year when it comes to offensive production, go back and watch the ECF last season and watch the first 2 games this year

And really, run that finals 10 times and the Celtics win 4. The Warriors didn't dominate them, they got some breaks and won a title.

The grant Williams thing is overblown

Celtics still had a big lead

Run clock and put the ball in the basket and it doesn’t matter

Not that hard
The Grant Williams thing will be legend because this is the kind of drama we cling to in sports. It can still be overblown in assigning responsibility to the outcome but years from now you’ll be saying Grant Fucking Williams.

The disrespect is real for him and Butler. Embiid was doubled all over the floor. How does Bam not draw better attention? How does Butler not draw a blitz or some other double scheme to get the ball out of his hands?

Grant is maybe the 4th best defender on the floor at a given time
Agreed. But his value comes in being a player that can be switchable and guard a variety of different players and hold his own while also being physical on that player. A guy who can play like that as a role player should be able to put some wear on the opponent in a long series (if Celtics can make it one).

Dude’s hand isn’t right. He was great in the Philly series. His defense on Harden was the difference in games 2 and 3.

I disagree.

The Heat were kind of hanging around, but it was looking like they were going to be satisfied with getting the split in Boston...

then Grant had to go and piss Jimmy off.
