Well the question is answered.... Is the strategy having a terrible pitcher as an opener then following with terrible pitcher...... well I have absolutely no Idea about this strategy. Is Breb.... Oooops I mean POS an opener tonight?![]()
Strip is a hot steaming pile of shit this year. He is so bad, you have to figure the team will consider eating his lottery ticket for next year at some point. This is horrendous.
I think there is a high probability this happens. It isn’t like there are lots of options for a replacement, but Strip needs to go to Arizona and have his game deconstructed and rebuilt. The dude is just a bad pitcher right now. Can't throw strikes. Can't keep it in the yard. Maybe he injured himself tonight and will go on the Phantom IL?
Sucks they both didn't work. You don't expect to get them all right but you don't expect to miss on them all either.Ross Stripling and Sean Manaea are just unplayable right now. They need to figure something out with both and quick. They have combined to give up 37% of the team’s home runs in 2023 while pitching 16% of the total innings. It’s just not working right now.
Agreed, but I still have a bit of hope for Strip as a LRSucks they both didn't work. You don't expect to get them all right but you don't expect to miss on them all either.
His long relief hasn't looked good yet. Still, it seems weird that he went from so good last year to so bad this year. Did the shift help his pitching that much? It wasn't like he pitched in a weak hitting division last year.Agreed, but I still have a bit of hope for Strip as a LR
