So what is your belief now on who is starting?

I already said who I thought would be starting. b/c they were 1st and 2nd round picks. If JP on his pod says Fuller is staying, I have no idea what the starting secondary is going to look like. So we would have to wait and see.

This is why Dad is so upset about how we draft. There is no doubt in my mind of his that JMS and Torrance would be day one starters and immediate upgrades…and in our opinion, a better draft value and higher rated in general than somebody like Quan.

Torrence would have been the starting LG, I agree. JMS, im not sure b/c we did bring in Gates. I would have to think Gates will be starting Week 1 unless for injury. Do you think Roullier is gone now? Who gets cut or restructured to sign the draft picks.

Gates played last season as LG for NYG. He could have played there for us as well.

Roullier is pretty much a sure bet to be gone.

Like I said elsewhere, I expect the OL to be
LT- Leno
LG- Paul
C- Gates
RG- Cosmi
RT- Wylie

Stromberg, Daniels, Lucas, and Norwell as backups.

I could see Stromberg winning the starting C job and Gates and Paul battling it out. There is also a chance Cosmi can’t play guard but I think he will be OK.

I would love to see Scott take over for Lucas but I don’t think he will.
I would love Norwell gone but he is a favorite of RR…I would much rather keep Charles.

so we drafted this guy in the 2nd round to sit the bench? All reports said the two rookies are starting.
Just a guess on my part but I'd could see Martin starting at high FS and then moving to Buffalo Nickle when the situation calls for it. A 2nd is a big investment. Really gonna depend on camp and pre-season.

Forrest was really good last year, but was completely lost when Curl had to leave the lineup. I think that was a big concern for them. Defense completely fell apart without Curl.

I expect Forrest to compete though. Made huge strides last year.

I could see Forrest and Curl deep, Forbes and BSJ on the outside with Fuller in the slot. Quan at BN and make him earn his way into Forrest' spot.

I could also see them also try BSJ in the slot again, Quan shows out in camp and is the starting FS day one.

It's really early.

for a lot of the year curl and forrest were in the top 4 in PFF ratings , i am not sure thats a reason to draft martin and pass on some blue chip o/lineman in JMS and torrence

Did you hear Paulsen and Hoffman's podcast? You said pretty close to what he said. To use dad's favorite word .... position flex. Forbes and BSJ on the outside. Safety's rotate between Curl, Forrest, Martin and Butler. Depending on down and distance. The idea would be use them at their strengths and not run Curl down as has happened the last couple of years.

There is some good info on here: https://www.audacy.com/podcast/take-command-00013

I believe ST.

If you can find a better player you don't hesitate to draft a guy because you have a player at that position. You know that as well as anyone.

I have told you my position. Nothing is determined until the players get on the field. You have your opinion, I have mine, Paulsen has and so on.

Yeah, one could definitely make a strong argument for OL at 47. Truth told, that's what I was expecting. We just get moved on when Curl is out. I like that they added playmakers to the defense. At first I was puzzled by the Quan pick, but part of me does understand it and I'm not mad at it.

Nah, thanks for the link. Gonna check it out now. Curl is key to this whole thing they are trying to do over there. His dad obviously knows that. Have a feeling it's gonna be hell trying to get that deal done.

@Sportster 72 Wow, Logan had Quan as far and away the top player on his board when the Skins picked him.

The offensive lineman went fast and furious in the first. That's why I wasn't mad at the Forbes pick even though I always wanted them to go corner at 16.

I think Forbes is going to be a bust if it weren't for those returned interceptions he was torched in college

I also was looking at the 3 OLineman left when the took Martin. I understand people questioning the pick ... I did at first but after some research I am okay with what they did.

I have said this before and still stick by it. We do not know what is going to happen when Harris takes over. He stripped the 76ers and Devils down to start and then they built them back up. No telling what he will do with the football team. I did hear he was so happy last night when the Devils won game 7 he jumped out of the car in the parking lot and was high fiving fans. If true that is pretty cool.

I think I heard Washington wanted Bergeron, I liked Tippman the center from Wisconsin.

Was hoping Sko, Paris or Broderick would fall, when they didn't I was all in on Gonzalez, but wasn't mad at the Forbes pick. Saw some tweets questioning Gonzo's love for the game. A lot of Forbes smoke heading into th draft. Posted it. Wasn't surprised.
