When a foul occurs should not determine if a foul is called or not.

Especially a foul like that one which has been a point of emphasis because of player safety.

I've always said that a foul is a foul no matter when it happens.

Refs just don't always have the balls to make it...especially when it's on a star player like AD.

I disagree. They let so much physical contact go throughout that game that the 3 pt foul on middling contact seems unnecessary at best and raises serious questions otherwise IMO. The fact that Scott Foster made the call is too on brand to let go (known as the playoff extender, lol).

Again, it's a call that has been a point of emphasis for a few seasons because it's a player safety issue. If it were a "garden variety" foul like a tap on the elbow or something, it may not have been called.

Is it still a landing zone if the player has already landed? That was a marginal call at best, and certainly not one that should be made with .01 on the clock, especially with the physical play that was allowed for the other 47.59.
