It doesn’t explain it but it does factor into it.

The truth is, all you can do is show your kids the right way but ultimately it is their choice.

So true.

Sometimes kids are just born with differences not easily understood by their parents.

Genetic differences, for example.

The best thing to do is to explain to them the consequences of their actions, then offer unconditional love and support (but not necessarily approval), for them as they make mistakes, learn, and grow.

Father of daughters - multiple.

But in no way do you ever tell them an action is OK when it is not.

True, though what is ok for some is not ok for others.

Live and let live is a motto we would all do better to aspire to.

We’d all certainly be happier if everybody minded their damn business…

I agree about live and let live outside of your family. Within your family, I could not disagree more Because children can make mistakes they never recover from. If your daughters think it is ok to be a whore, I am sure you would not live and let live. If your daughters decided they were men, I am sure you would tell them otherwise.

Their choices in life are their choices. Just because you are raised poorly doesn’t excuse you bad behaviors and choices.
Not the question at all, but moving on I'll ask , if that same reasoning applies to the so-called "well-raised" who exhibit destructive behaviors and make poor choices?

Haskins could have had Hopkins and OBJ and he still would have been ass. Under 60% passes and always off target while not seeing blitzes with no timing. That is not talent.
You have zero evidence to support such a charge. I get it people are still bothered by the continued failure of this organization and its players, but that's emotion.

I can defend that statement a lot easier than you can disprove it.

Your excuses for the players I understand…but that is bias.

Clearly, there are too few "good people" in the world, whatever that happens to be.

No, you can't!

Facts aren't excuses. Excuses as you currently define them are facts that are ignored by those seeking alternative ones!

Dismissing the importance of the organization and the role of a support network is biased toward employers and that network.

2019
Case Keenum- 64.8 comp%, 6.9 average, 11 TDS, 5 ints, sacked 15 times on 247 passing att
Dwayne Haskins- 58.6 comp %, 6.7 average, 7tds, 7ints, sacked 29 times on 204 attempts

2020
Broken Alex Smith- 66.7%, 6.3 average, 6tds, 8ints, 22 sacks in 252 att
Dwayne Haskins- 61.4%, 6.0 average, 5 tds, 7ints, 20 sacks in 241 att

Dwayne Haskins was given up on, not even kept over basic garbage players, because he had no future in just two seasons. That is almost unheard of for a first round QB.

The 2019 team was 3-13, they were a horrible team, is that NOT a fact?

Your 2020 stats prove my point but you want to focus on their completion percentage and ignore everything else because that supports your perspective. Is it not a fact that Alex Smith actually earned the moniker CDC on this board because he relied upon easily completed check-down passes that elevated his completion percentage? Was Haskins a check-down QB?

Perhaps another look at your stats and the number of times each QB was sacked gives us better insight into how bad these teams were. Yeah, yeah, I know...it's an individual game.

You posted a false equivalency. "Being a whore" is a decision you could make as to the level of promiscuity you are comfortable with. Of course I would not be ok with any of my daughters deciding to "be a whore."

Being transgender is completely different. It's not a decision in the slightest. Anybody who knows anybody who is transgender knows that it isn't a decision that these kids are making. Nobody wakes up and says, "you know what? Today I'm a girl. Tomorrow I'll be a boy, and on Friday I'll be neither or both."

If one of my daughters decided that they weren't a girl, I'd read up on all of the latest literature, seek advide from experts in the field, investigate counselling for anybody and everybody who needs it (including my "daughter"). I would advise her to wait for as long as possible to change anything other than outward appearnce, because of the emerging nature of the medical field of transgender care. I would look to find support groups for "her" and anybody else in my family that would want it. And ultimately, I would support her decisions with unconditional love.

I certainly wouldn't stand for assholes who don't know better casting dispersions on my family based on their own personal ignorance, that's for damn sure.

Actually Haskins was. He averaged 6 while CDC averaged 6.3.

Looking at sacks actually shows how bad Haskins was in 2019. Same OL but Haskins got sacked twice as often as Keenum. Haskins did improve the following season in comparison to the statue that was broken Alex Smith.

You can’t point to a single thing that supports your statement that Haskins was any good.

There is nothing falsely equivocated. You admitted you would not want your daughter to be a whore.

Actually, children are confused quite often…more so today than ever before. Accommodating that confusion does them no good and actually harms many of those kids who are simply confused or playing the societal victim game and not actually mentally ill.

It is easy to claim that you would but your answer speaks a lot to the amount you don’t want her to be trans.

I wouldn’t cast dispersions. I would pray for her and your family, as I would any mental illness.

Yep, horrible.

Haskins was not known for that, Smith was. Considering the number of sacks, perhaps it was done more as a means of self-preservation and not a QBing style like Smith operated. (this could have also been the way the play developed or was designed) Again NOT Dwayne's strength!

It shows how unsupported every QB that they fielded was not just Haskins.

Which statement was that in which I said that he was "good" or "bad?" I said a thousand times (ok and obvious exaggeration) that he was unsupported and didn't get the things that his peers got (or are now getting) that provided the base that led to them being more successful than he was. In concession, perhaps he wasn't any good and perhaps he had greatness inside of himself, there's really no way to know now. This is what it is to be fair to a young man who unfortunately died too soon.

Alex Smith wasn’t known for that in college either.

2019 was Case Keenum. Haskins was sacked twice as much as Keenum because Haskins was lost. Haskins was incapable of processing the information and that is why he sucked.

It shows how poor the QBs were. Keenum was a career backup outplaying the first rounder dramatically. Alex Smith was 5-2…Haskins was 1-5. Same team, same year…dramatically different results.

You stated he was as good as Burrow and blamed Haskins’ lack of success on those around him.

Ro be fair to the man’s NFL career, you have to go by what he did in the NFL.

It is a well known fact that Burrow has played behind a poor OL, especially in year two. Not hard to say he wasn't fully supported yet he was 10 times better than Haskins.

Just because I wouldnt want my daughters to be trans doesnt mean that I wouldnt support them if they were.

That’s what unconditional love is.

Like I said, if you dont know anybody who is young and trans - if you’ve never taken the time to hear their stories - then you ought to shut the fuck up with all that “mental illness” stupidity.

You “praying for “ anybody’s fanily because they may have members in their family that are walking different paths than you would want them too speaks to how little you know or care to know about the trans community.

If any of my daughters were trans, I’d tell you that your ignorant prayers arent needed, and direct you towards places where you could get an education.
