It's amazing to me that you can't be critical of Trump, this is why you are referred to as a cult. Sure you may have been critical of his behavior in the past. But calling him an asshole does not offset claiming he did nothing wrong on January 6th and he was not wrong when he lied to the DOJ about the return of highly sensitive documents.

If he does not hold that rally the riot on January 6 never happens, that is not in dispute. But by summoning his troops to Washington on that specific day, firing them up with hate speech including the word "fight" several times he lead directly to the events that followed. Yes he threw in a "do it peacefully" at the very end which appeared as an afterthought. But those words were not heard, obviously, and it does not offset an hour of hate speech. When the rioters, in the middle of the crime said in their own words that they were following Trump's orders (paraphrasing) there should be no doubt he holds some responsibility.


It was wrong for him not to try to stop it despite multiple requests from his inner circle.

It was wrong for him to praise these criminals with "we love you" and then claiming he would pardon them.

It was wrong to lie to the feds about being in possession of sensitive documents.
