Probably so, and he doesn’t need to be hereI could be way off on this, but for some reason it feels like Lamar Jackson has played his last game in Baltimore.
Who do you want picking FAs?Savings if you cut these guys pre June 1(before FA)
Wentz 26.1
Leno 8.0
Roullier 7.7
Thomas 5.2
Norwell 2.3
McCain 2.3
Lucas 2.8
McKissic 1.2
SAVINGS=55.6
Skins are currently 11.5 under the cap
Total =67.1m
Deduct 13m for the draft and 18.1 for Payne's Franchise Tag and you go into FA with about 36m to play with.
I don't like any of the choices really, but eyes closed, Martin Mayhew I guess.Who do you want picking FAs?
Makes sense, however, with cuts, you have to find replacements:Savings if you cut these guys pre June 1(before FA)

Well then this is going to be an offseason to remember.Turner is a FA so we don't save any money on that. Spotrac already accounted for that in our 11m under the cap for 23.
I assumed Holcomb would be part of that 36.
I think we can. What's clear is there is gonna most likely be a choice to be made between Payne or a big name QB.
Maybe but it would not make a lot of sense. For one, Carr might not want to play for that disaster of an organization. He might simply bide his time until the release. Secondly, the Jets only have 8 million in cap space. How in the world are they going to afford 40 million a year when they only have 8 million in cap and still have a draft class to sign? Remember, they went on a spending spree last off-season. They will have to clear almost 30 million in cap space to be able to afford Carr. It is possible, but they will have their work cut out for them.
Not sure any team will trade for Carr. The Raiders will release him a few days after the SB because he is due 40 million in guaranteed money if still on Raiders roster.
If the Jets want Carr that badly, they will simply find a way to sign him upon release while keeping their draft capital. The Raiders are going to try to fleece any team in trading for him. Again, I can assure you the NFL took notice of how foolish the Commanders looked last year in panicking in trading for Wentz.

Sarcasm, nice!Well then this is going to be an offseason to remember.
It could happen but the Jets do NOT meet the criteria you mentioned.Im saying it could happen. Teams with huge cap space and need a QB could do it.

The odd thing is that the teams with a ton of cap space already have a QB. Teams with the 8th, 9th, and 10th most cap room are the ones looking for a QB.i just saw an article on some teams who could trade for him, and the Jets were one of them. I didn't see what they had for cap space.
If RR is going to be here another year while ownership is settled I don't mind him and Mayhew handling the draft but I am not sure I want them spending $30 million on FAs.I don't like any of the choices really, but eyes closed, Martin Mayhew I guess.
Drafted Stafford and Suh.
Fleeced Jerry Jones in the Roy Williams trade.
I think heinicke is definitely a solid back up. He's a huge locker room guy too which is valuable. Think you should keep him.
No........I don't want them spending 30 period. Curl could be a Pro Bowler soon. They need to get on that ASAP.If RR is going to be here another year while ownership is settled I don't mind him and Mayhew handling the draft but I am not sure I want them spending $30 million on FAs.
