FWIW, this is another win-win trade for both teams, as was the Quinn trade. A win for the Ravens as they get one of the best LBs in the league and if they can work out an extension, then it's an even bigger win for them.

The Bears get a win as well because it's obvious they were never going to pay Roquan what he was asking - yes they could have used the tag on him next year, but this would have likely resulted in a lot of shit such as him sitting out or at best playing under angry conditions and just causing a lot of unease on the team. So to nab a 2nd and a 5th is about as good as we could have hoped for what might turn out to be a rental.

agreed. We learned the price for a fourth round pick is 6.3 million dollars last week. I say Poles got about 20 million dollars in draft capital for next year.

Roquan will fit their scheme, but I would hate to be them negotiating with Lamar and Roquan next season.

If you would have told me in the offseason Roquan was being traded I would have been pissed. Based on his performance this season and the director the defense as a whole.....I will gladly take those pics. Poles is playing the long game. Hard to get mad at that.

The Chicago Bears are moving on from their All-Pro linebacker, Roquan Smith, via a trade with the Baltimore Ravens and here are all the details of the move.

Update: Baltimore is also sending linebacker A.J. Kline to Chicago in the deal. The 31-year-old Kline has played in 136 games in his career with 81 starts during time with the Panthers, Saints, Bills, and the Ravens, and in 2022 he played in 2 games with 1 start.
