Smart for Indiana not to do a sign-and-trade when they have the cap space. Then they can flip Turner and/or Hield for picks.
Pritchard is clueless.

Doesn't sound like Ayton is coming, and even if he were, without a sign and trade you run the risk of disgruntled players in house, not to mention taking back dead salary if you were to hypothetically move them...

And waiving and stretching three guys just to sign a guy that Phoenix by all means should match the rights for is asinine.

Fire Pritchard.

Eh. None of them are a big loss, and you gotta take a shot at a guy like ayton who is disgruntled with his org

Might be missing the point. We just this year completed our payments to Monta Ellis five full years after releasing him.

Stretching anyone to sign a player that most likely isn't coming is a sign that Pritchard is out of touch with 2020s culture.

Wonder if it's the Allen Crabbe rule that the Pacer can't trade for Ayton for a full year after this offer sheet...

Well paying Ayton $33M/year isn’t ideal to begin with unless you are PHX and then want to include him in a deal and/or acquire KD. It’s desperation if you are Indy.

Indy lost a good young player in Washington but nothing else other than looking like a desperate organization

Monty overcame losing his wife. I'm sure he can manage patching up a relationship with his center.

(Unless they trade him in the next 3 hours)
