Do the Pacers have another starting caliber Center?

Maybe that's were Ayton comes in?

They have two recent first rounders at center already on the roster

One with the pick from the Russ trade lol

The bold seems to make the most sense. Like Cowherd says, ''stuff only gets out when someone in an organization wants it out''. So in that respect it seems like the Lakers would let the "division'' between Lebron and ''some in the organization'' story get out for that very reason.

Especially since it's one that has actually had some legs.
Yeah....

Do you know who Jovan Buha is?

He used to cover the Clippers.

But, switched over to the Varsity team, the Lakers , last season.

He pretty much said that Jeanie's tweet was about LeBron wanting Kyrie and the Lakers want to take the Indy deal.

The interviewer tried to push back.

Jovan was like nah....it's about LeBron wanting Kyrie.

We have 15 players....not counting our 2 way guys.
Westbrook, Nunn, Reaves
THT, Walker, Christie
Lebron, Johnson, Brown, JTA
AD, Gabriel
Bryant, Jones

2-way: Pippen, Swider

Who is the 15th?

The Pacers moved Brogdon to clear the field for Duarte and Halliburton.

You see Russ playing the good little soldier coming off the bench?

But, the biggest issue?

The Lakers don't want to give up their picks.

They are delusional.

This claim that the Lakers won't give up their picks doesn't have a lot of substance IMO. By all reports, trade talks have not begun in earnest. You don't start negotiations by going all-in.

Sure.

Just going by the multiple reports that state they are refusing to offer picks to offload Westbrook.

That was out there before the draft.

At this point you make the best move for the team.....James hasn't committed to an extension.

Fuck what you want.

I find it hilarious that people are so focused on the picks.

Of course the Lakers are going to try to keep their picks. It would be stupid not to. Those picks can be valuable assets. They're already more valuable than Westbrook.

Make the other side ask. It's like when folks were up in arms because it was said that the Lakers were trying to get Curry instead of Harris. Just because they ask, doesn't mean they get...but not asking, guarantees they don't get.

Same with picks. You don't include them if you don't have to. My guess is that if either deal is going to get done, it's going to take at least one and probably both picks. The one way to guarantee that they lose both picks would be to lead with including them.

Most of these guys will never make a final NBA roster. Let em have a little something for making it that far.

Yeah, I agree. My initial reaction was WTF? But now I think, why not? It'll be a nice keepsake for them. Considering how few players make it to the NBA, just getting to the summer league is a pretty big accomplishment.

Right.

They can continue to go the we go low, you go high, we meet in the middle route and hope their targets are still available when they decide to make a serious bid.

I have no clue what was offered to Indy.

But, whatever it was clearly is not enough considering they've turned it down for the second time.

I am not going to get all indignant about Taj Gibson--- but WArriors have 2 starting bigs in kuzma and porzingis---- and then 2 of their most promising young talent- Haichumura and Avdejia are both ideally small ball 4's. I guess Avdejia can play the 3- though i think his best spot is a small ball 4. Why sign Gibson?

Wiz do have 4 young guys in Avdeja, Haichimura, Kispert and the recently drafted Davis who are all pretty highly regarded young talents. Pretty unlikely any are future stars--- but I would try and give those guys minutes.

I do think Barton was a good pickup- maybe he will give them the scoring they hoped Dinwiddie would give them and not be an asshole.

honestly- this is the team that Kyrie would be a TON of good on. PG is fairly weak. They could easily get him with the young talent they have too- though not sure where they would get the cap ballast from.
Mixing up your hate teams again

Where did I say they can't go wrong?

You don't understand what ''almost'' means? I even explained why I said ''almost''.

Also, pretty sure I also posted earlier that Kyrie could be a spectacular pickup, but could also be a spectacular disaster.

But yeah, go ahead and take things out of context and then you can give us another ''Lakers fans always...'' post.

Lighten up man.

Was mostly joking.

But yeah, clearly a lot of ways that it wouldn’t go right even if the players they acquire do well. So I do believe your comment is an exaggeration.

That makes a lot of sense as a standard. But it’s questionable when you’re trying to unload 47.5 million dollars of useless dog shit that is a horrible fit for the team.
