Good luck with that trade for Murray...LOL.
I'm not vouching for it considering the Spurs demands + he isn't a perfect fit. I love Murray but that's too much.

The comp to Clarkson leaked to the guy tells us his role he would play. They’re gonna bring him off the bench. I just assumed he would start alongside Garland. Maybe you guys better clued into Cavs already had that vision but this is new to me. I like a guy like Sexton coming off the bench to work the subs. He can be a game changing factor in that role.
Basically like Jordan Poole, and around the same price point

GS will probably offer their MLE to Porter (since they have early Bird rights on Payton), so that's probably a non-starter.
Reading the tea leaves I really think the Warriors will let Porter walk.

The good thing for the Cavs is Sexton's team has less leverage now. Detroit, Washington and Indiana were really the only teams rumored interested and that have the cap. Of course a sign-and-trade is possible but that would have to mean a team offered him a contract which doesn't make sense with little teams having cap.

Detroit drafted Ivey.
Washington is going to sign Beal back and they just traded for Monte and Barton.
Indiana traded for Haliburton last year and they still have Brogdon.

Sexton might have to settle for somewhere in the middle of negotiations instead of $20M or more.

It's widely expected that Harden will opt out and take somewhat less to sign with Philly now, which would allow for signing PJ Tucker.

When did Windy start smoking crack?

I think it's unlikely, but he has a point. Kyrie opted in so that he doesn't lose $30 million and everyone seems to think that means the whole thing is over. Threatening to walk away from $30 million was Kyrie trying to create leverage. His next deal and the Nets not being willing to commit long term is what got this all started...they don't seem to be any closer to a deal than they were when he opted in.

Before he opted in, it looked like things were setting up so that the Nets only had the Lakers to deal with. It will be interesting to see what happens if negotiations continue and they still can't get a deal done. Do they cave, do the trade for Westbrook, tell him to stay home and be happy to get a couple of future 1sts...or do they keep trying to deal with him and let him walk for nothing?

This whole thing is so surreal. I can't remember a time where a player of Kyrie's caliber only had 1 team willing to trade for him and even that team wouldn't if they had a choice.

Toscana-Anderson too.

I don't think he will be unemployed long.

Someone will give him a minimum.
