The fact that we are at this point is a problem. We have Landon's money off the books, so that excuse doesn't fly anymore.
I completely agree!

This feels like a move to either low-ball TM or ultimately replace him. That said, If I were his representative, I would advise against taking any physical risks until there's some sort of extended contract in place.

Not positive news .... if he has been working out all along than he shouldn't really have muscle tightness. <fingers crossed>

TMac being there and taking some reps wouldn't hurt on the work load .... he is under contract. :L

  • Jamin Davis received more first team reps today, which is a sign of how he has developed this offseason. Davis' ability to close the gap against ball carriers was listed as a strength when Washington drafted him, and there was a glimpse of that during team drills, as he was the first defender to meet Brian Robinson on a swing pass. Davis had to let up, but it would clearly have been a tackle if they were in pads.
  • The offense continues to be the star of the offseason. It's obvious that the group is operating more crisply than in the previous two seasons. After having a rougher period earlier in the morning, Wentz delivered several passes in a row, two of which were to Dotson.

  • One special teams update for the day: there were six players catching punts today, including Dotson, Dax Milne and Alex Erickson.

I said it weeks ago and will say it again, BSJ will be your ideal Nickle back. I believe the "Buffalo" has left the team so no need to call it something its not just to appease a player. JDR even mentioned that in his presser.

I think the "Buffalo" nickel took on a life of its own with the media. It is a nickel back which at this point in the NFL is pretty much a starting position.
