I already told you how I felt about Wentz. I liked the trade. I think he will win for us.
I agree...you've posted your reasons on "how" you feel about Wince, but that isn't my question, so, I'll try this one more time... WHY do you feel that way about Wince??

I think something you keep missing Dean is that we are not simply a QB away. A good QB will help, but our defense was ranked 25th last year. We couldn't stop anybody. We also have a severe lack of talent at WR. You keep thinking that Wentz will simply come in here and we will click as a football team. The stats just don't show that at all. Wentz has nothing to do with the defense. The under-achieving play of defensive players and terrible coaching are to blame for that.

Wentz did it before with a better team and better coaching.

Like Skinsdad said, Foles won that SB...not Wentz. Pederson, who is allegedly now singing his praises according to you, flat out benched him for poor play. Its amazing that your acceptable level of success is simply making the playoffs and acquiring a QB better than TH.

With a healthy Samuel and if we draft a Wr at #11, we should be fine with talent at WR. We are a good QB away from being a playoff team. The defense under performed last year, I agree with you. I think Sweat and Young will be alot better this year.

Yes RR is doing fine for what he has. The Williams deal was with the previous regime when Kyle smith was here. Williams didnt want to be here b/c of what Allen did to him. Wentz is better than any rookie QB this year. Why do you put so much stock that this years rookie QB class will produce a franchise Qb? If it did the Texans will take one at #3. Plus we dont have our choice of rookie qb b/c we are picking at #11. Why cant Wentz be the long term answer? You dont know how this will play out. The hate of this guy is amazing.

Of course I value draft picks but if it's a 3rd and 2nd to get a future QB that is peanuts!!! We gave up far more to get Franchise Qb's. Teams have gave up far more to get franchise QB's.
What has he done? He is going on 3 years of having total control of the roster. At this point, its his own freaking fault we sux. He has made the draft picks and he has been the one signing free agents. Hold him accountable for once! Rivera has stunk it up here period. You can't blame Gruden anymore...we are on year 3 of Rivera's regime.

I put stock in rookie QBs because that is how winning organizations build their team....they draft rookie QBs. I don't know if this QB class has the next Tom Brady. We don't know that. What we do know is that Wentz has been an utter bust and failure and 2 teams have cut him loose.

Wentz can't be the long-term answer because the data shows he isn't! I showed you that his QB completion % is 62%....that is terrible. Look at the numbers besides TDs for once. He is NOT a leader and is NOT a locker room guy.

The Texans are the only team that is more dysfunctional than ours. I could not care less about what they do. Using them as a measuring stick is laughable.

I agree that you give up a lot for franchise QBs. Let me ask you this. Name one poster, one sportswriter or one fan who actually thinks Wentz is the franchise QB or long-term answer. YOU are the only one.

You can be a fan of the team but don't be a homer about it.

Success starts by making the playoffs then its a new season. Anything can happen. If Wentz make this franchise a constant playoff team and wins one or two games in the playoffs, fans would be thankful.

I really don't care who agrees with me on Wentz. I gave you my own opinions. I just see the risk the team took by trading for him. I believe it has upside and downside. If we hit on the upside great. If we hit the downside fine, but we took the risk. Cant fault the team for taking the risk at QB.

and he will lose with a 1st place schedule because he is a paper champion and not real

The ONLY goal, year in and year out is to put the team in a position that gives them the confidence and talent to win it all. If you're not doing that you're failing. Do you honestly think that the teams in Buffalo, Kansas City, Cincinnati, L.A. Raiders, New England, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Dullass, Arizona, San Francisco, or Philadelphia were happy just making the playoffs?

How about teams like New Orleans, Indianapolis, Miami, or the Chargers with winning records getting close?

Perhaps, you're the eternal optimist who believes that making the playoff gives you an EVEN chance to win it all, and Washington doing that makes them a strong candidate to hold the Lombardi?

KC took his team to 4 straight victories with us when a loss eliminates us , wince last season when the same circumstances were presented with a better team he dicked it up and he topped it off with a loss to the worst team in football
