Rubio would be the guy that likely doesn’t back then though but it would also depend on what the full trade looked like too. Pretty low chance the Cavs trade for Simmons before the deadline imoGood point. If I’m Cavs im looking at Garland or Sexton and I think Garland is the better player. Sexton can be done in two ways - deal now and get something instead of overpaying him - or the one I would pick (because it ain’t my money ha!) is wait until Sexton is ready for his deal and do a sign and trade for another piece that helps the Cavs get above the cap and flirt with the luxury level. They’re small market but they’ve gone into the luxury level before.
