Maybe. Maybe not.
I don’t think you can trade dame and not have a plan to move cj.

A lot of this will depend on what Jody Allen's representative will want to see happen.
Spending 120 million on Lillard over the next 3 seasons when you have no shot at a title may not be desirable for them.
I mean, you gotta spend it on somebody
That’s the beauty of the floor.
Although the athletic says she may sell once the new tv deal is done so it may not be her call

Yeah, if the Blazers trade Dame, they are officially rebuilding. So yeah, I would think they would move CJ as well.
Certainly they would move CJ as well. But they wouldn't need to move him now. They could wait till the offseason.

True, it would be interesting to see what path they chose. If they trade him during the season, they may get a lot for him from a team that thinks he can help get them to the playoffs or help a title run.
For example, if the Lakers had anything of real value to send to the Blazers, Id expect theyd be very interested in CJ. On the other hand, they might be able to get more in the off-season in a less rushed deal.
So much revolves around what they plan to do with Dame. If they were focused on improving the team around Dame, then the CJ injury is a real blow. He has value and is a bit redundant on the Blazers.
If his injury is season threatening, then it screws everything up for them.
If they do you would think they would want a ton of picks (and if possible a team that will have lottery picks) and a young player with star potential along with another young player. At this point, they are still just a lower seed playoff team, they been down this road for awhile and Lillard wants huge money while not playing great and not enough around him. Yeah if we were talking 1-2 years ago...they get more, his value is declining but I still think they can get quite a bit but likely not as much as they want.I doubt that the Blazers are getting a ton of picks and 2 young players for a 31 year old PG who is getting paid a ton of money and has been playing poorly for 6 months now.

The biggest problem is how loaded most teams are at pg.
New Orleans might be the best fit for them.
But cj has to prove he’s healthy
It doesn't really makes sense if NO is in a rebuild and I'm sure Damian would rather stay in Portland than go to New Orleans. The biggest problem is how loaded most teams are at pg.
