I went to a Winnipeg Blue Bombers game maybe 10-15 years ago.

They can fill a stadium, wacky ass game they play though.

How well would a NFL team do if one were to locate to Toronto or Vancouver?

They can't legislatively.

It was tried with the world football league in the 1970s and Justin's daddy put the Kabosh on it.

Most notably, Bassett's Toronto Northmen were forced to find a new home after the Canadian government threatened to ban any American football team from competing with the CFL. Though the Canadian Football Act never passed, the mere threat of it prompted Bassett to move the team to Memphis.

Toronto could likely support one. There is a big metro area to draw from even with the Maple Leafs around.

Not sure about Vancouver though. There are a lot of locals who frequent Seattle. But not 60,000 of them.

Honestly IF Vancouver can get a team. There is a big enough base in Vancouver and Vancouver Island to support it.

But they would have to make NFL sailings for BC Ferries

Toronto could easily handle an NFL team.....they had the Bills there on 'loan' but everybody knew it wasn't their team.....and nobody cared. Having said that, I don't think Toronto, or any other non-american city should get an NFL team.

Couldn't tell you about Vancouver. It kinda sucks for all sports it seems.

That was then and this is now. They have the NBA. Given the huge $$$$ involved do you think it would still be blocked as such?

Would a single NFL team in Canada make them Canadians de facto team?

I tend to think the game is being ruined due to there being too much money

Which leads to more expansion/make more money/expansion/etc.

That doesn't make sense....Victoria doesn't even have 100,000 people. I don't see how that can actually tip the balance. If I had to make a stand, I'd say they'd go the way of the Grizzlies....whatever the NBA city that is now.

So a brazillion $ a seat, a brazillion $ ferry ride twice per game and for however many people are going?

I don't think including the Island makes sense. Aside from one offs. Just like with Seattle.
