An NBA record, I waited two days for someone to post about this but nothing.....what gives boys?

It was discussed in the nba season thread.
Meh.,..I think that limits action in the NBA forum to be honest. Think if there was just one thread for politics 2021.... There would be alot less people in the politics section because no headlinesIt was discussed in the nba season thread.

I just don't understand the logic in minimizing sport postings to a one season be all end all thread when politics is given free reign to post 100 threads an hour instead of "2021 the politics year".We are at 5k post barely a quarter of the way into the season. Think we are doing just fine bud lol
The 3 point shooting emphasis has definitely changed the e way the game is played. 20 point leads are no longer complete blowouts and margin of victories have really expanded.Even the Process-era Sixers were not this bad.

I can see why my op could come off as aggressive, like I'm saying what the fuck is wrong with this forum kind of thing. For that I apologize, I had to reread my op to understand why it would come off as that. Thank you for the info, from now on I will simply just just start a thread on bball topics I find interesting instead of " whining" about why others aren't doing what I should do myself. We are not minimizing anything. This is a formula that been working for years now. This is one of the most active forum on SportsHoopla every year October through July. You can start as many threads as you would like but just dont expect others to create threads for every little thing as well
Yep. I see exactly how my post came off. Very whiny. No one is limiting anything. There was discussion going on in the season thread while the game was going on. So it was discussed almost in real time, then continued a little after that. No one else felt it was thread worthy, or they would have started one.
You felt it was thread worthy, so you started one. Kind of how its supposed to work.

Do we know for sure margins of victory are higher this year? This year the only team with a crazy margin of victory overall is the Warriors (I believe they are close to a record at 13.7 ppg). Utah is next at 9.6 ppg. What do you guys think is the major reason for why margin of victories are becoming more skewed? 3 point shooting or the rule changes. In the past, if you were up by 20 and you tried to drive the lane and slam, you would get fouled hard for disrespect or showboating. In today's NBA, a hard foul can very easily get you fined and suspended. So piling on is easier.

Not sure about that actually being the case either. A trend I have heard about with the league-wide spike in scoring over the last 3 years is that coming back from large deficits like 20 is a more common occurrence than ever before. What do you guys think is the major reason for why margin of victories are becoming more skewed? 3 point shooting or the rule changes.
