As I said earlier, man - McElwain, Muschamp and Mullen all won the SEC. There is some indication that success is cyclical. Got to accept that there's gonna be some down-cycle, too.Not really....just don't suck

Stephen Godfrey (Split Zone Duo) laid out basically the same arguement. Easy road to hoe in Blacksburg coaching against arguably the weakest P5 division and without the astronomical expectations, politics, and drama of UF or LSU.
Of course, UF and LSU would likely give you an extra $1-2m/yr sooooooo who knows.
Listening to it as we speak. Will let you know once he gets to us. But my understanding from sources so far is as follows:Do you listen to that pod? He just put out a new one tonight with a likely coach for VT but I don't pay for it. Wondering who it is. Godfrey is usually pretty on point with his coaching stuff

Godfrey says:
Brent Pry - Penn State DC is the top name he is hearing the most. He GA'd at tech in the mid-90s and is apparently close with Bud.
Bill O'Brien - Heard it but wouldn't put much stock in it
Dave Doren - Same as BoB.
