Rodgers is shoving crystals up Simmons's ass as we speak.Initial reports were he was seeing someone through the resources the players union has
If he’s lying about it, he deserves the suspension

How do you do that when his camp leaked that he was demanding a trade a week after the playoff exit? His value would have been based a lot more on the first few hundred games he had played than the last few in the playoffs. The “value drop” from the playoffs was greatly exaggerated.
NOW his value has dropped a ton because of the drama and all the question marks surrounding him. His value would have been like 3 times higher had Philly just quietly shopped him in the off season.

This is way over the top.
Rivers and Embiid made a couple of minor comments right after a series where Simmons was historically terrible. Simmons chose to be offended rather than take responsibility.
Coaches talk shit about players all the time. Just last week Nick Nurse publicly called out several players on the Raptors for shit play. It happens.
Simmons ego and pride are what caused this situation to blow up. It's why he's in his 5th year and hasn't improved his offensive game one iota.
Yes I do believe he would have sought a trade. Ben Simmons doesn’t fit with Joel Embiid and it’s been to the detriment of Ben Simmons.Um.
Do you think he would have been demanding a trade had he not been publicly blasted by Embiid and Doc?
That was the reason he demanded the trade.

I think it gives people who are programmed to say things like “it takes two to tango” the thing they’re searching for in trying to diminish the fact that Ben Simmons is ultimately responsible for all of this and more.I guess it is possible,
But this isn’t a chicken or egg scenario.
Simmons got thrown under the bus, then he asked to be traded. Not a coincidence.
Do you honestly think the relationship between Simmons and the team would be where it is today without those comments?

They would already have a title if they told Simmons to shut the fuck up when he cried in 2019 about Brett Brown putting Jimmy Butler on the ball. This organization has coddled Ben Simmons. And then they finally stopped coddling Ben Simmons and now that’s apparently the Sixers fault.Keep blaming him then if you want.
But that is exactly what got Philly where they are today and why they won’t win a title with Joel Embiid.

The Sixers don’t make him pass up a dunk when he’s threatened by 5’11 Trae Young. That’s what emasculated him. And “doing it in public” is what Ben Simmons has done all summer…unless you’re talking about candid remarks immediately after an excruciating series loss to end their promising season that fell short. That isn’t what I am saying.
You do realize that they could have demanded more from him without doing it in public right?
And if he doesn’t live up to his end trade him!
But without emasculating him first.

I don’t think it would be where it is today if he would dunk a damn basketball. That was the end.I guess it is possible,

Gotcha. Gotta be perfect. Swallowing the tongue for 5 years isn’t enough if you slip up one time.Again, after Doc and Embiid.
They could have stayed quiet and traded him for something like McCollum and a pick.
That ship sailed long ago because they went public first and Ben responded by torching his trade value.
He has a 5 year track record of disappearing in the playoffs and in passing up shots. In Games 4-7 of that series he didn’t take a shot in 4 fourth quarters.1 play does not crater a players’ trade value.
Plays like it have happened before and will happen again.
Thst play was the last straw for people that had seen no telling what all over the last few years. I just don’t believe that basketball people were influenced in any way by anything that was said, Rivers and Embiid just couldn’t stay quiet any longer and they were echoing what anyone that knows badketball was seeing. That’s my opinion.1 play does not crater a players’ trade value.
