BTW, was anyone else nervous as shit when Bummer took the mound in the 10th? I didn't want to post anything because I thought I'd jinx us. And with that opening walk, I'm thinking, damn here we go again. But the man came thru with the next three batters, including two whiffs. All is well tonite in SoxLand.

I hope this is a confidence builder for Boomer - these Sox could really use a Boomer from the previous two seasons.

It is amazing how these Sox are able to overcome injuries to key players and win ballgames. The Starters are the bedrock of these team currently.

One story going on here though is this team loves Jose Abreu and he inspires them to be professional to the game and to fellow teammates.

At this point I’m sure if we pulled some schlub off the street, slapped a Sox jersey on him and threw him in the lineup he’d come out guns a blazing. Nothing stops us this season.

Sox win a laugher today, altho Seattle choked against the Indians and lost what should have been a gimme dub, keeping the Tribe back 4.5 games. In any event, Dylan was dealing. After giving up two runs facing the Tigers first two batters, he went on to toss 5 strong innings. I don't have a breakdown, but it sure seemed like 60-70% of his pitches were breaking balls. Looked like a young Dallas Keuchel out there, with the big difference being that he also flung a few FBs in the high 90's as well.

If Goodwin produces his MLB career averages - I think Eaton will be gone.
Adam started out pretty decently, but it's hard to keep him healthy and even when he is, his bat just seems a bit too slow. Zero doubt he's gone after this season and I wouldn't even bet on him even making it to the end.

Another Series win assured with today's victory. Sox now winning at a rate that would produce 101 wins on the season.

Nice that they keep winning but I’m really sick of watching the tigers

I'd watch the Tigers because they are about 2 years behind the Sox on their rebuild. You either scout for future competition on scout to buzzard the talent if it falls apart.

The Bay Rays - on Monday for a series and that will be the two best records in the AL going against each other.

Jonathan Schoop might be a White Sox trade target for 2nd base. His contract ends this year - he has some power in his bat - and can be had for a lot less that Ketel Marte or Adam Frazier.

Schoop would make for a fantastic rental, but would the Sox give up some trade capital to a division rival? And that's of course assuming the tiggies would be willing to trade him. But he'd definitely make for a nice pickup.

I think Schoop doesn't fit into the Tigers future and they have some minor leaguers tracking for MLb status anyway. He won't be expensive (IMO).

Guess the Funkouser start for the Tigs was strictly an opener move, being Hinch has already yanked him. I'm glad because tbh, he was pitching pretty damn good.
