Wilson is one of the best athletes to play QB, he will end up third in QB rushing all time, only Vick, Newton ahead of him. As we know his passing numbers dwarf theirs. So he is the best "total package" we have seen.

When it comes to smarts/decision making/passing/rushing I can't think of anyone better.

BUT.......we cannot ignore how this actually works, we must look at dominance of era, this isn't how would Tyreek do vs 1960 defenders. This is about accpmplishments from an historical perspective.

Elway went to 5 SBs and did shit these QB's could never do, reason he was so highly touted and went #1 in the best QB draft ever. These newer QB's stats would blow with the older NFL. Rodgers ratings were .44 his first 2 seasons with action in only 5 games before they enforced the no contact rule, that you cant bump or interfere with a receiver after 5 yards. PI's up the ying yang and guys rating and td/int through the roof for the new guys

Compare what Marino put up compared to Elway and they came in together.

For a big name QB Elway's stats just don't jive. His comp% and passer rating very weak for an elite QB.

Staubach had a 57comp %. he had 83.4 passer rating. He never had more than 3600 yards in a season, never had more than 27 passing TD's, he isn't on any all time lists.
