Came back to K him TWICE but how in the world do you call that a foul tip!

Same damn ump who called TIME when Vazquez might have gotten hit, then called him out... Jesus that was awful!

I know you agree...and it’s hard to complain when they are 9-3, but can we get Kikè out of that lead off spot??? He’s been awful.

Yeah I would really like him out of lead off

Hernandez has never really been suited for a leadoff hitter anyway. Career OBP barely above .300 and it's not like he's a threat to steal bases. I like Hernandez but I think he should be in the lower third. Red Sox don't really have anyone well suited for leadoff... I would go with Verdugo.

Though I can't complain about the versatility Gonzalez and Hernandez bring, I was really hoping to see them get Kolten Wong or Cesar Hernandez (the latter doesn't have a platoon split)

This team is a lot of fun. Richards was actually good today. 5 scoreless from HIM? You’ll take it. Not sure why JD never got off the bench to pinch-hit.

Verdugo
Bogaerts
Devers
JDM
Vazquez
Marwin
Kikè
Franchy/Renfroe
Dalbec

Get those late extra AB’s to Verdugo, Bogaerts and Devers. Not Kikè.

The broadcast they said he was the last man on the bench so perhaps Cora was waiting in case it went extras and not wanting to have to use JD in the field but yeah, wonder why he wasn't brought in

Plawecki was still on the bench, too? JD is lousy in the field, but he can handle a couple innings out there. There were 2 or 3 times where I was looking for him to bat.
