Horton Tucker was the hold up with the Lakers and Herro for Miami.

Yeah and I imagine that Thybulle was the hold up for the Sixers. None of those teams wanted to give young contributors for a 35 year old PG. Especially when you factor in the guys you would need to match up salaries.

Apparently the Raptors wanted Herro or THT and the Heat and Lakers didn't want to include them.

And it’s being reported it’s a 2021 draft swap. I don’t see how that is possible because the thunder already have a swap deal in place with the rockets.

No way. Lowry is almost 35.

Yeah, he's definitely on the wrong side of 30. Part of why I was liking the Ross idea. Plus, when they were healthy, the Lakers were looking like the best team in the league (even after the Nets added Harden), so it certainly wasn't like they HAD to make a move.

Some of the stuff that was being thrown out there re: Lowry was starting to make them sound a little desperate.

Depends, imo. They may be able to sign and trade him in the off-season and possibly get a better haul. But it was definitely a risk on his part because now they could end up losing him for nothing.
