I didn't care for it. I liked the Mox/Eddie part from earlier in the show but the rest wasn't needed. The quicker you move on from the fireworks shitshow, the better.

That's fair. Personally I thought they had to address it on the heel side as well and Callis and Omega were both incredible on that promo

MJFs new stable. Just wow. He's such a great talker that if this angle is executed well I can see him as a centerpiece heel world champion at this time next year.

Also the Inner Circles best stuff has always been comedy and as faces they can lean into that role.

My guess is Lesnar, Punk or Angle.

I sure hope nobody was dumb enough to tune into AEW last night. If they can anymore than 400k viewers after that botched PPV, it will be a miracle. I just can’t imagine even the most die hards not feeling duped after Sunday.

They didn’t turn like death triangle ans archer didn’t turn imo.

Not a bad show tonight. I think that I enjoyed the final segment the most. If anyone in the company can pull off the Ric Flair role of that group, it’s MJF. They can do the Blood and Guts with both factions at some point if they still want to try to do that at some point.
Eddie Kingston is gold on the mic. Probably the one I look most forward to watching every week.
One thing that I’m not a fan of is having a lot of turns the past couple of shows. QT and Scorpio Sky, along with I’m assuming Archer and Death Triangle turning back into heels (although I guess if you wanted to, you could argue that they never really turned). And then of course, you have Eddie and the Inner Circle turning face.

I feel like if she beat Shida to a pulp and put the women’s division on notice, that’d leave a bigger impact then her winning the title in a three way without pinning the champion. She’d fit in that group with Tully pretty good, just like Leyla Hirsch would with Team Taz.

i saw ic like death triangle and archer or even ue on the secondary Wednesday show.

they just are just up against bigger heels.

Starting Now.

Let's see if they can compete with a damn good NXT.

not if NXT keeps doing trash booking like last night with green haired jobbers beating the best in the world

I agree mjf is perfect for that role as the flair of the horsemen.

there was a lot of speculation on that before mjf joined IC.

but it does seem mjf joining the ic became rather pointless.

MJF is the best heel in wrestling today.

I am going to shit hard on one part of the new faction reveal, though.

Lights go out. When they came back on, surprise! Oh my God! So and so is in the ring. What's going on?

It's been done to death!

It's become as stale as the heel authority figure storyline.

he is incredible and keeping in camera out of the ring, on camera and social media makes it even better.

he lives his character

I agree. But it was such a huge moment that I don’t mind it so much.

this is a great new faction.

I agree it's an overused trope but in this instance I thought it worked. It kept suspense for the reveal and gave the heels an advantage in the IC beatdown

I feel like I'm in AEW fanboy apologist mode but I think it turned MJF into a mega heel, made the IC into sympathetic faces after close to 2 years as lead heels, and sets up a pass the torch Jericho/MJF blood feud.

I think the payoff was worth it

i get it. But I’m not sure he needed to join the ic to do it.

I’m more curious to see how the messed up audio throughout the Ethan Page-Lee Johnson match affected the viewership for that segment.

743,000 total nielson viewers. Down from the 934,000 ( a recent high likely due to Shaq) but more along the lines of what you see each week (they're usually somewhere like 730 to 800 range give or take). Finished #4 overall last night (South Park won the night, no surprise there)

The real AEW diehards have made deflecting the bad about this company into an artform. They could air two hours of an empty ring and the Meltzer zealots will call it great booking

Not bad...

Main event was Badass.

But the Pinnacle.... why not Horseman 2.0

I thought it was good show. that’s my new favorite women’s match ever

im not sure why they’re avoiding the horseman angle.
