Here is the best Beal trade I have seen:

GS trades Wiseman, Oubre, Pool and Minnesota pick

For Beal

And yes, @dtgold88, Wiseman definitely has more value than Garland, and the Minny pick is probably pretty comparable too.

That would be tough to beat.

Bill Oram is the Lakers insider with, I believe, The Athletic. He had an interesting point re: trading for players that are at Beal's level.

Local station, so of course he was asked about the Lakers chances at landing Beal, especially since Lebron is known to really like him and wants him on the team.

He basically said that the way the market was a few years ago, they probably could have put together a package of, for example, Kuz, THT and either KCP or Schroder and gotten a deal done. He said that now, it's about futures. So teams are more interested in young players (like 19-22 year olds) and picks and the Lakers don't have those.

The Clippers are also said to be very interested in Beal, but he said that they are basically in the same position as the Lakers. Going to be very interesting to watch if things really start heating up.

Question though...has Beal ever come out and said that he wants out? Everything I've ever read about him indicates that he wants to stay and he signed that extension with them. All of this speculation seems to be built on him saying he's frustrated.

They were a 6 seed in the playoffs.....LOL.

Ok. Were you alive since Mitchell been on the team? It was a 3 way tie for 4th. They had the same record as okc and Houston. Utah been a very good team for 4 years now

Correct on all fronts.

The speculation is that he should want out. His body language looks like he wants out.

But to my knowledge he hasn’t said it publicly. So he might not.

But I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t want a fresh start somewhere else at this point. He deserves better.

Gettin' stuff done this morning. Went to the grocery store. Went on a bicycle ride. Stopped by my dispensary to pick some goodies up. Have listened to Devo, the Pretenders & listening to the Black Keys right now.

The founder of Devo (Mark Mothersbaugh), founder of the Pretenders (Chrissie Hynde) & the founders of the Black Keys (Dan Auerbach & Patrick Carney) are not only from Akron but they all went to the same high school. Damn good music. But Firestone H.S. can go fuck themselves sideways. I mean that in a nice way though.

@SlinkyRedfoot

Does Firestone H.S. still smell like hair spray & rotten ass?

No disagreement. don't think I said there was not a better option than Garland just asked you name one.

Throwing out the usual extremes, though? I suspect Wiseman a better option but we don't know what teams think of Garland. Kid's been pretty good and shown a lot of improvement this season. wiseman WITH Minny pick I'd say definitely better.

The Knicks own the Cavs.....
Only positive I took was Garland played well and liked to see that he and sexton took more 3s. didn't fall for Sexton but they will.

Not sure how long it lasts or how far they can go with him, but also props to NY from going from pretty bad D to very good.

Yeah, I am not sure either.

But I don’t think too many teams could beat that offer if GS were inclined to do it.
I mean, if they were inclined to include anyone I'm sure NO could beat it. Why I said realistic options please.

This one I guess is realistic if they don't have much faith in Klay being close to what he once was.

Haven't decided what I'll make for S.B. Sunday. Right now leaning towards slow cooker carnitas tacos.

Can't go wrong with carnitas. That's my backup if I don't find a brisket that looks good enough.

That isn’t an extreme comment man.

You are just too much.

Your boy made a stupid homerific trade idea that is completely unrealistic. Maybe you should try calling him on it instead of your usual “but we don’t know what his trade value is until he is dealt”.

Yeah we can make some pretty good assumptions about player values based other deals we have seen.

Garland has value. Not enough to return a star like Beal. Wiseman would get closer to doing so.

Last time I made it was the BigTen title game. Gonna make some jalapeno poppers to go with it. And possibly some stuffed mushrooms.
