Not a surprise of course and probably never should have come back after last time, but here's to you #82
Add John Mackey & Mike Ditka at the beginning of that chronology... and gotta include Tony Gonzales as well. Those guys all set a high bar for we fans of that position.Hate to see a great career end, but he's walking out under his own power and I wish him the very best.
We have been lucky in our football watching careers to have watched great players who have redefined the position of tight end, from Dave Casper andRonRuss Francis to Witten and Gronkowski.
Love long and prosper, gentlemen.

It too bad the Cowboys did not keep him. Never understood thatI thought Todd Christensen was a severely underrated TE.
The two sides of Bennett?
Got a feeling the only booth you'll see him in going forward is a coaches booth.please, please, please do NOT go back to the Booth!

He's been pretty vocal that coaching is in his blood. And I can see him being terrific at it no matter what level he chooses.I can see him doing that. TE coach for the Cowboys?
yep....Tom saw him as a FB. He couldn't get beyond his height to be a serious TE, which just shows you, the great coaches were wrong from time to time too.It too bad the Cowboys did not keep him. Never understood that
true, but that is expected to happen in the footsteps of Dave Casper. A raider favorite.I thought Todd Christensen was a severely underrated TE.
That ship already left the port.please, please, please do NOT go back to the Booth!
