Hate to see a great career end, but he's walking out under his own power and I wish him the very best.

Witten all-time great. Could have played in any era. Man, talk about a player you could always count on. There were very few like him.

Witten 1st ballot HOF IMO.. still irks me that the Cowboys used 2nd round picks on tight ends when Witten was in his prime. Total waste of draft resources.

Is he the best all around TE? Gronk and TGon were superior receiving threats but Witten was a far superior blocker.

He's been pretty vocal that coaching is in his blood. And I can see him being terrific at it no matter what level he chooses.

yep....Tom saw him as a FB. He couldn't get beyond his height to be a serious TE, which just shows you, the great coaches were wrong from time to time too.
