@WiggyRuss you were right about McCaw's long term potential, that's for sure. Dude just never developed, but honestly I think a lot of that blame falls on the Warriors. They were trying to turn him into Iguodala 2.0, instead of developing him organically.

The Warriors have done a really, really poor job of drafting and developing players. I'm not sure if that more to the scouting, or more to the development side, but either way it hasn't been good. At least the Warriors have found themselves one guy in Paschall who looks like he's really coming into his own as a small ball 5. Kevon Looney seems to have peaked middling backup 5.

Other misses:
Jordan Poole - so far, but not looking great
Jordan Bell - kept him over Boucher, yikes.
Nemanja Nedovic - Euro D-Rose was more like Euro Smush Parker
Damian Jones - Was always trash
Jacob Evans - yikes

Think the Nets should start scouring the market right now for some defensive talent still out there. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is unsigned. With all the scoring you have on the court you could easily play him and not have him be an offensive liability and tell him to focus on defense.

Ky Bowman was an excellent defender last year for the Warriors, even though they were terrible as a team. Kyle O'Quinn could also help.
MKG would be excellent for them.....think they are waiting till the traded deadline passes to be in the buyout market.....

the problem here is that it seemed like you were expecting these guys to work out.

the success rate on 2nd round picks is pretty dismal. If you get a player from 1 out of 5 second rounders you arent doing too bad.

every Warriors second round pick was getting hyped like some kind of steal and it was just not grounded in any kind of reality.

i mean just for example- in McCaw's draft you had 2 guys taken in the 2nd round that kind of "made it"- Brogdon of course has been a huge success- and Zubica has been a pretty solid player.

2017 - Jordan Bell's draft looks even worse. Thomas Bryant, Daymean Dotson, Semi Ojeleye ??????

they were more short-sighted picks I think than long term prospects. I was expecting them to work out in the sense that:

1) They had a defined role
2) They didn't step outside that role.

Once guys started getting jumbled around and expected to do more, they then showed they were not capable. McCaw for example was good in his minutes for the Warriors, but beyond that he just wasn't good. More playing time did not equal more production. Same with Jordan Bell.

Early season COY is Doc....

Has Embiid playing like a true C.....21 FTA's last night. When the opposition doesn't have somebody to stop your big, you take advantage of it.....

True, but I think I agree with Wiggy here in that it was just wrong to think because they showed some promise it was a failure that it didn't work out. Most 2nd round picks amount to very little (or even late 1st rounders).

There is a huge difference between jumping up on the sidelines and being able to play in a NBA game with the best athletes in the world...I hope you know that.

They will get it together eventually..just like any sport at first dealing with Covid.

I love how close-knit this team is. They play hard defense and move the ball very well. If people think this is some fluke, they are wrong. This team went from 30th to 3rd in defensive efficiency for a reason.
Missing my point. You can carry 200lbs on your back, you can run the court!

Ain’t like Love is known for his leaping ability .

NBA Players today are puffs!

Imagine the kid's surprise a few hours later when they get home and hear a bomb going off in the baby's diaper?

LOL.

Damn. Now that's shitty.
