Smith starts if he is ready, that would be my decision.
Absolutely!
Smith starts if he is ready, that would be my decision.
Alex Smith started for the 49ers from '05 to '12 and during that time period the teams split at 8-8. I didn't go through box scores to confirm DNPs or not but Smith most certainly lost multiple games to Seattle during his career.Let me just throw this out there: As I recall, Alex Smith never lost to the Seahawks even when Seahawks had the Legion of Boom.
This is true for him as a 49er and a Cardinal.
He could put up over 100Las Vegas has opened the betting line at Seattle -4 with the total at 43.5 which means they are expecting a relatively low scoring game again. I can understand that with our anemic offense but I want to talk about Russell Wilson for a moment. Of course I like him because he played at NC State for 3 years before going to Wisconsin for his senior year but that was then and this is now. For the first quarter of this season Wilson was hands down the MVP. Then he tailed off and is not even in the conversation now with Rodgers and Mahomes having such great seasons. He looked great in his last game but we'll throw that out since it was against the Jets. Honestly, I don't know which Wilson we will see when he shows up in Washington but I do know that as good as our defense is we seem to struggle against mobile QBs. On the flip side, west coast teams have a long history of struggling against east coast teams when they play on Sundays in an early game at 1:00PM eastern time.
He could put up over 100
Yds rushing on us by himself

Washington Vs. San Francisco - Studs and Duds
First place in the NFC East! Man, that feels so great to write! In a defensively dominated game, The Washington Football Team pulled out a huge victory on the road(technically in Arizona), against...www.hogshaven.com
our qb play was miserable
i agree we should give them a game if we play to our abilitylooks like Smith will play this week. If Colt Mccoy can beat Seattle we should be able to give them a game.
I beg to differ, however, rushing 4 (staying in your lanes) is the way to go with a "robber" on Wilson the whole game.If he’s healthy and can drive off his right foot (step into his throws), then AS should start.
If he cant, then Haskins should start, because a gimpy AS is worse than an erratic Haskins.
I think the WTFs CAN beat the Seahawks, but they present an even bigger challenge matchup wise then the Steelers did.
For starters, they havent solved how to contain a mobile qb this year, let alone a masterful one like Russell Wilson.
Secondly, the Seahawks have a pretty legit running game and a freakishly talented wr.
Containing Wilson in the pocket and rushing four is probably the way to go...

Trent still is a stud.
Remember this . Should be a good learning experiences for him
Not so fast, the NFL is a week to week game. Colt McCoy is a minor reason the Giants beat the Seahawks. The major reason is that the Giants had their defensive game of the year against them.
