I'd laugh if they went full Matt Millen and drafted another WR in the first round. That team has more pressing needs like O-line or secondary.
They need a GM who knows how to draft and not a kick the can guru accountant. Then maybe a high draft position will matter and they can actually build something. Like you say, Oline has to be at the top of the list.

See how Hurts does without a line now.

Howie and Jeffery Lurie are buddy buddies, but if Hurts fails horribly over the next 4 weeks that could force Howie out of the GM roll. O-line or top rated CB will be good for them.

I wouldn’t say he’s had much time to throw, that’s a bit far fetched.

Last I saw ,and and it was a few weeks ago. Also a bit far fetched to blame the line for all that...0

The best part about this is that the Eagles have now crushed their fragile QBs psyche even more than it already was by benching him in a glorious, national spotlight kind of way and will now also find out that Hurts is not a good NFL QB. Couldn't have worked out better...

Please God let them draft another QB next year in the first or second round :hope:

Yes there have been whispers that teammates found him arrogant and that his practice habits slipped.
Yeah and we've brought that up for a couple of years now, only to have Eagles fans vehemently deny it. But now it's true?

I wouldn't call that division. I think it's just a veteran leader trying to have his friend's back. And stating the obvious that the whole team is pretty bad. Wentz is obviously playing terrible and a huge factor but I highly doubt Hurts makes a huge difference. This is what happens when a shitty GM doesn't address problems and doesn't know how to draft for shit when it comes to WRs and DBs and ignores the Oline getting older. Now they likely get to draft in the top 5-8.

But I'd go directly to Wentz and tell him my thoughts but for the good of the team, this is just between us.

Yeah, but he had to explain his vote on Twitter. Frankly, my thought is the whole " retweet/ like poll thing is lame as fuck and should be banned but that's a whole different convo. Maybe Cox should have just avoided doing it but it seems some guys haven't got the memo that social media is a trap and will only cause you problems.

Why is Philly making this move now? When they are about to face a red hot Saints defense? Even at home, this is a bad situation to be throwing a rookie into.

not saying he makes the difference. But wentz has been pathetic. Watching film breakdown on him is just sad.......analysts are just throwing their arms up going, "I just dont know", "why would you do that", "hes just not even looking where hes supposed to", "He never even sets his feet", "why are his feet so wide"........the list goes on

There's no point on running Wentz out there, the guy is broken so might as well give Hurts a shot for the final 4 games. They did spend a high draft pick on him so might as well put it to good use.

Oh I know. His footwork is horrible and that contributes to his bad throwing mechanics and accuracy. But the worst is his total lack of vision and awareness. It's like his mind is a million miles away at times.
