Time to deploy Space Force...

If Lieutenant Frank Drebin was still alive, and if he was working for Space Force now - he'd stop the asteroid! Probably by accidentally shooting Nordberg at it, but still....

"Furthermore, NO ONE'S personal taxes would have to be raised at all if corporations just paid their fair share and stopped using loopholes"

"WHAAAARRRRRRRGARRRBL"

And, correct me if I'm wrong, the corporate tax rate is on profits only.

All of us working stiffs pay on gross income and they pay on their net income. Now don't get me wrong I understand why that is but we (both US and Canada) could and should ask for more than about 12%. Particularly in industries that have very finite economic viability and/or cause environmental impacts that will need to be remediated.

Is there really a pro-big corp loophole movement out there though? That seems like one of the few areas where everybody seems to be on the same page.

Keep in mind loophole =/= corporate tax rate. There's definitely sides to that one.

Cletus: Vern, y'all ain't gonna believe this but them guys Joe Duck and Trey Aikmen on the TV Football don't like air force jets at football games no more. You believe that?!?!? Talkin' bout our flag and our troops like that? Well I say we get Jim Bob, Cooter and the boys and we do something about these here Hollywood types. You gut any ideas.

Vern: I just seen that on the computer news!! I reckon we start by boycotting their show. Which station hired these sissies anyhow?

Cletus: That's good thinkin partner. Partner they work on the Fox News Sports television I do believe

Yes:

Also Sinclair Media Group, Clear Channel, etc. They tell the rubes that they should be outraged at the "attacks" on hard working Merican (TM) Job Creating (TM) corporations. And they have those fucksticks convinced it's gonna trickle down ANY DAY NOW.

Yes, and the easiest loophole to exploit plays on that. A company I used to work for had a holding company in Sales Tax-Free Delaware. That holding company had ownership of the name and logos. They "bought the rights" to their own logo from that company every year for, wouldn't you know it, the EXACT amount of their profits for the year. Reducing "profit" to zero.

There's a small building about the size of a fast food restaurant in Dover that is home to a few hundred "corporations".

Don't let logic get in the way of a good Rudy/Hunter Biden laptop story.
