You don't fill a hole by first creating one. You will either get a solid OF prospect or you will get a spare MLB OF. Won't get a good MLB OF for Joey.

I can't knock the Minor trade on it's own merit.

I remember when we were buyers, we would always buy the big names early. But when we are sellers, we try to hold feet to the fire until the last minute and the teams either stand pat or shop elsewhere.

He's made some fantastic deals, some great deals and some good deals. And some shit deals. But making NO deals is inexcusable.
