I liked what San Diego had to offer the most. I think Ckevinger being added to the mix has fouled things up for the Rangers. JD could have fallen out of bed and made a great deal before, now he will have to work a lot harder.

He was widely considered to be an integral part of the front office. I remember reading multiple pieces that mentioned Preller leaving was a bigger setback than if JD had left.

the twins and Yankees have demonstrated before ( last year) that they would rather lose in the playoffs then trade with us.

teams should’ve traded for Minor last year. Those same teams refused to pony up and they all predictably got their shit pushed in when the playoffs came around.
