He’s an idiot that thinks his word is the gospel. The fact is...the series is and was 2-2 without playing without Porzginis and when he did play he wasnt 100%. I like the fact he didn’t mention the Mavs were one game away from a 3-1 if the refs weren’t so pitiful in that Game 1....yes, the Mavs could be 3-1. But you could say this about a ton of series. It’s an excuse.

Paul George is who he is...he shows up to the fight when they dont need him. You could tell the Clippers were going to win this from their intensity from the tip so now he shows up and everyone will rave him for it. Same Playoff P though. The Clippers are easily the more talented team but the Mavericks have been playing just as well this series...well until this game 5.
Totally agree. When you take put Pussingas, not to mention Jalen Brunson, Dwight Powell and WCS... And Luka playing hurt...the Clippers should blow them out. The thing about the ref in game 1 isn't an excuse, its a fact....the ref cost the Mavs a 3-1 series lead. There's no way you can tell me that if the Clippers were winning and they T'd up Paul George and ejected him for that weak play, and the Mavs had come from behind to win, that Clippers fans wouldn't have totally blamed the refs. I thought this would happen tonight honestly. What will be interesting is to see if the Clippers come out with the same intensity in game 6 or if they dial it back to cruise control again

The Clippers were honestly one highlight buzzer beater 3 pointer from having a commanding 3-1 lead playing it out.

Paul George was playing like ass, Luka was playing God Tier....and it is still only 2-2

It has had an odd flow, but the Mavericks are not a particulary good team. They are an okay team at best.

This series is more about the only good team bothering to show up and care.......
This is one of the stupidest takes I have seen in a while

Something that really isn't mentioned is Rick Carlisle. He is one of the most underrated coaches and has out coached Doc in this series imo. I think we all knew eventually the Clippers were just too talented to lose this series and just too many injuries for the Mavs. That being said, Porzingis comes back they have a fighting chance, still think the Clips win though.

Hard to say. They've been debating it on Dan Patrick all morning.

I think the best summation I heard was "I don't know if it was intentional...but it didn't look unintentional."

I guess we'll find out after this series is over how much of a puss he is. You don't know the extent of his knee issues anymore than I do.
Yeah man if he has an ACL tear ill apologize. If its something he could have played through pain with...Puss

Yeah, it would depend on the severity and/or the possibility of making it worse, imo.

One thing to consider is that it may be a decision made by the organization.

Even if the Mavs managed to upset the Clippers, they aren't winning a title this year.

They are preparing this team to be title contenders in a couple of years (maybe even next year). They may feel that the possibility of upsetting the Clippers and getting eliminated in the 2nd round wasn't worth the risk of him doing damage that could impact future seasons.

George says he had anxiety, depression in bubble

I'm sure it's hard being away from your gf/stripper but you have to choke your chicken more often to get through the depression of no sex.

Yeah, that sounds like bs to me. As @wildturkey said...What's the reason for the other seasons where he's shit the bed in the playoffs with fans there?

Or as Charles Barkley said on the DP Show: "We are in the middle of a pandemic that has cost people their jobs. You are in a place where you get to play basketball, play golf, fish, etc. while making millions of dollars. You don't get to complain."

Yep and everyone else is dealing with the same exact thing in the bubble. Not sure the reason to bring it up...some like Harrell have actually had to deal with death in the family...PG is making millions but feeling anxiety. Give me a fucking break.

I think it comes down to this.

It is a lot like the Pachulia play from a few years ago.

It is impossible to know for sure what Morris’ intent was. It certainly could have been intentional. But I have also played a lot of basketball and I have stepped on people, and been stepped on quite a few times. It happens within the flow of the game sometimes.

I don’t think a player should get suspended on a play like this unless there is hard evidence that he did it on purpose.

I know what you mean.

If I had a nickel for every time I rolled my ankle stepping on someone's foot driving to the basket or landing on someones foot grabbing a rebound...I'd be a rich man. As would most who have played much basketball at all.

But I've never stepped on anyone's ankle or had them step on mine in a situation like that one.

The 2 things that make it look intentional were that he wasn't making a basketball play and he was looking right at Luka when it happened. At least Pachulia tried to make it look like a basketball play.

I still agree with the assessment on the DP show...Not saying it was intentional, but it didn't look unintentional either.

I think Dallas knows they don't have the health and ability to win it all this year and trying to avoid making a sketchy situation worse. I think they are looking at this series as trying to see how well we can play, but don't have a KD situation where you push KP and lose him for next season as well. With a potentially shortened offseason, unless Dallas was a legit contender I don't see Rick pushing his luck.

However, these extra days of rest might have helped him get over what ailed him and might see him out there next game.

Geez Zinger gets injured every single year. That's unfortunate

That's not an ACL. I played football the last 4 years of my soph year with a torn meniscus. Pussy

Cmon man.

He has a legit injury, which is the point.

And there are varying degrees of meniscus tears. People can often play through a partial tear. Full tears take months to heal and require surgery.

And since the report is that Porzingas will require surgery, his is probably on the more severe side.
