Doc Rivers said something last night during his emotional postgame interview. He talked about how the players all feel quite powerless, trapped in a bubble and not being able to get out there and do anything to show support. All they can do is say things and wear slogans on their shirts.

So this is their way of making a statement. I applaud it, if it's just one day of games. It's getting noticed.

If they skip out on an entire series or the entire playoffs, I think that's counterproductive. But they may feel differently. Sometimes shit has to get weird for change to happen.

Also, I’m not sure one could describe any sports org as being “fully” supportive of protests. The NBA’s acceptance of BLM, IMO, helps cover their reprehensible silence and kowtowing to the CCP over Hong Kong.
