On the flip side, Nebraska a deep history in football (that's one of the reasons why they were so attractional to the B10) . If ND had joined the B10 a few years ago, and they complained like Nebraska is complaining, I think their complaints would be understood too. It's a BIG deal in the state and surrounding area.

I agree with you that they need to let it go. Although, I haven't heard much out of Frost and Nebraska over the past several hours.

Patience.

The UNL attorneys are scouring the contract for any liability.

We'll hear something from Moos and Frost one way or the other eventually.

They can't just stay mum and have it go away in Nebraska. It's doesn't work that way in the UNL fishbowl.

It would likely work that way at Northwestern though.

The B1G would literally laugh at Nebraska and stack their money if they really decided to try to leave.

Basically they have zero leverage

They arent Ohio State, Michigan or even Penn State. Hell Wisconsin has more clout than they do.

Unless there are stipulations specifying benefits for seniority, 'Contracts are Contracts' regardless of who's been around the longest.

If you knew a fucking thing about business contracts, you'd know this.

Alas, like any empty headed libtard, you deal entirely on emotion.
.

This was in reference to Wilbon and Howard's comments, not the content of the contracts.

If you knew a fucking thing about reading comprehension, you'd know this.

@belcherboy was referencing Wilbon and Howard advocating to kick out Nebraska if they don't shape up.

And you said you put all your faith in the Big 10 commish threats.

Post the $1200 wager up that the Commish will kick Nebraska out of the conference if they play a game, pussy.

Nebraska wouldn't be leaving the B1G, they'd just be playing in the Big 12 for this year.

Where has Nebraska said they are "leaving"?

That is something you empty headed dullards have fabricated.

If you'd wait for actual information contained in the contracts instead of ad-libbing what's in them, you wouldn't look like such an empty headed emotional dumb-ass.

Nebraska should have never left the Big12. They were in the weaker of the two division. Now they are just another average school in a league that rarely appears in the Championship Game and only has really one elite team (Ohio State).

Yep. They'd ALL be considered OOC games.

Of which OOC games are allowed to be scheduled in the Big 10. 3 per season as a matter of fact.

The Big 10 says members must play the 9 in-conference games they are scheduled to.
OK, here we are. Let's go.
The Big 10 withdrew those games.

The NCAA says a team (Notre Dame) can play up to 12 games. If you play Hawaii you can play 13.

Finding out what's in the contracts when a conference fails to uphold it's obligations is going to be interesting.

They were being intentionally throttled in the Big 12 north.

The Big 10 does not have the same recruiting restrictions that benefit one division over another.

What if Nebraska went undefeated vs all the Big 12 opponents?

Yeah, I'm sure the B1G will be totally cool with that...

/sarcasm

There seems to be a lot of uninformed thinking that Nebraska can just do whatever they want and the B1G cant do anything about it. Not how it works.

Just read an article that sayz Frost was quoted today saying- the Huskers are gettin' da fuck outta the BigTen". It was from the onion. So it's probably not legit.

How is that description of the B10 any different than the ACC, B12, or the Pac12?

IMO, since Nebraska left the B12, the B10 has been clearly stronger top to bottom than the B12 and pays its teams $10’s of millions more. Seems like they made the right move for money and a better conference to me.

Nobody is saying they have to like it.

The question is can they legally do anything about it since they themselves won't provide Nebraska an in-conference schedule.

Stop dealing with emotions and start dealing with contractual facts that have yet to come to light.

Care to link the part of the contract that supports what the Big 10 can do about it?

We'll wait.
