figured that would be your reply.....if anyone ever digs up stats, you divert.....have good night kiddo.

I divert? Lmao you quoted a post discussing Jalen Reagor and out of nowhere started a tangent arguing a point about DeSean that no one was even discussing.

this is true.
Wentz isnt a great tight window thrower.
So if they want him to go down field it has to be over the top, which is why they got speedsters. just huck it & hope for the best. (he is comfortable at throwing it under ten yards)

Just throwing it as far as you can hoping your WR out ran the coverage doesnt take a ton of skill.
Eli used to do that with his eyes closed! (True story)

I remember similar discussions about Flacco.

How is he doing?

Without reading through all the replies, I'm guessing everyone took issue with Stafford at 6? Outside of that I see no other issues.

Project those WRs out over 16 games and still it doesn't look good. Wentz was stuck with horrid WR play last year with the exception of the one full game from DeSean and late emergence of Greg Ward after injuries finally forced the Eagles into giving him a shot.

Also lol @ Wentz being a dump off specialist. It's one thing the Foles crowd was attacking him for on sports talk radio during last season is that he won't check down.

Statistically he has one of the lowest check down rates in the NFL.

Captain Checkdown: The quarterbacks who most and least rely on checkdown passes | NFL News, Rankings and Statistics | PFF

Wentz had nothing but mostly garbage slop at WR yet two of the 10 best TEs in the NFL and an emerging superstar playmaker at RB who was was consistently getting open down the field. No wonder he was passing more to the other options that were getting open and actually catching the ball when thrown too. Crazy how that works.

Well DeSean can catch and I'm confident that Reagor will proof to be better than Agholor and JJ were last year when it comes to catching passes that hit them right in the hands.

yes you brought desean up early..... and later.......and were dicussing went'z wr's.

It might be and I'm sure he will drop a pass every now and then. Until proven otherwise though with his play as a pro I will maintain optimism that he will be more reliable than Agholor and JJ were last year and that alone will do wonders for the offense.

He doesn't need his WRs to be all pros. He just needs competence and some WRs who will make a play every once in awhile.

It's not a might be it's a fact that he does have a bad drop rate and catch radius coming out of college. I gave you those facts a month or two ago you ignored. Now I will agree he's unproven at the NFL level and hopefully the WRs coach can fix his faults and become a solid WR or a least a more productive one than Nelly and JJ.

I do agree Wentz doesn't need all pro WRs but he needs them to be more than just a play maker every once in a while. That offense way too many times last year stalled in the first half and barely scored points. They got away with it with good play from both TEs and Sanders but good D-Coordinators will adjust to that quickly if the WRs fail.

Show him this.

Reagor had a 47-percent catch rate last season, which ranked third-worst in the entire FBS. He had a drop rate of over 16 percent, which was among the worst in the class.

I did a month or two ago in a different thread or probably back around after the draft and those I believe are the same stats I brought up. He quickly moved onto something else.

that doesnt count.
it falls under FLM. Anything that falls under FLM cannot be used in this argument.

FLM?

I understand FDM "Facts Don't Matter", but I'm not up on FLM.

Ok be but he had a 2 TEs and a RB going over 500 yards receiving, so it’s not like he didn’t have anyone to throw it to.
TE's and RB's are a nice addition to a QB's receiving corps but EVERYBODY knows that QB's make their living by throwing to their WR's.
Like I said, I don't care what your opinion of Wentz is because I don't really care, but PLEASE, don't pretend to be an idiot either. It's insulting.

I'm fairly indifferent to Carson Wentz but putting him as the 3rd best QB in the NFL is pretty laughable. And Jeremiah ignoring the past 2 seasons and focusing on 10 games from 3 seasons ago is pretty strange.

I DON'T care in the slightest what you think of Wentz but to make statements that QB's don't need WR's, then you ARE an idiot.
So I agree with you. Good Bye.

8. KYLER MURRAY

“Murray to me, is an exciting, ELECTRIC young player that can make every throw, talk about a huge arm, the ball just jumps out of his hand. I thought last year what he did from the pocket was outstanding for a rookie, I’d like to see him incorporate his legs a little bit more, but I think that’s something you’ll see more of as Kliff Kingsbury cuts him loose a little bit.”

7. AARON RODGERS

“Talk about wow throws, the ability to fit balls in small windows, the ability to extend plays, Aaron Rodgers gives you all those things. A little bit of a slippage last year, but overall I think he’s right in the mix here.”

6. MATTHEW STAFFORD

“If he would’ve stayed healthy last year, I think you’re talking about somebody we’d be mentioning as the best QB in the National Football League. If they can keep him protected up front, I think you see a huge year from Matthew Stafford.”

5. DESHAUN WATSON

“I think everybody FREAKED out when they lost Deandre Hopkins, but I think you’re gonna see Deshaun Watson really play well. They’re gonna have the best offensive line he’s had for a full season, hopefully. I think you’re gonna see a HUGE year from Watson, pushing the ball vertically downfield.”

4. LAMAR JACKSON

“MVP of the league, what can you say, he’s the most exciting QB in the NFL. Needs to be a little more consistent outside the numbers and on the deep ball, can he improve in those areas? I mean if he does, watch out because what he does in the run game is ridiculous. He’s someone who continues to get better and better, and as the MVP of the league I still think he’s still got room to improve, which is pretty scary for everybody involved.”

3. CARSON WENTZ

“We saw what he could do in that SB year before he got hurt, he was on his way to winning MVP. The physicality that he plays the position with, his ability to pull through tackles, his ability to stand firm in the pocket. Last year with all the injuries and issues they had at the receiver position, I thought you saw Carson Wentz elevate everyone’s play, and I think he’ll be in the MVP discussion this year.”

2. RUSSELL WILSON

“This is someone that if my life was on the line and I had to have a 3rd and 5 converted, I would put the ball in Russell Wilson’s hand. I trust him that much to always make the right read or right decision and if things don’t go according to plan he’s gonna be able to get me out of trouble because of his athleticism.”

1. PATRICK MAHOMES

“Coming off the Super Bowl, where he just took over that football game, it’s scary to think that he’s just getting more comfortable, and they have a lot of the same pieces around him on the perimeter. The offensive line concerns me a little bit, but he’s proven he can overcome any issues that you have there because of his unbelievable playmaking and athleticism. Mahomes paired with Andy Reid is just not fair for the rest of the National Football League.”
