Yeah, he has elite vertical ability to go with game breaking speed. He is a constant big play threat for an offense that desperately needs that at WR. He isn't just a guy that can run fast in a straight line, he has great agility and if you throw the ball up for him (Wentz loves to dart passes high if anything) then he has this truly impressive gifted ability to go up high and catch the ball and it is very much a part of his game.
Psst....
he doesnt like too. He does that on accident!

Speed is great but if they can't catch the Eagles become the Raiders of the east and that's bad.

Well DeSean can catch and I'm confident that Reagor will proof to be better than Agholor and JJ were last year when it comes to catching passes that hit them right in the hands.

Yes DJax can catch but how many games he'll suit up for is a big question. I agree Reagor should be better than Nelly and JJ but his atch rate and drop pass rate coming out of college is somewhat concerning.

actually RTK has gotten me to change my mind.
A lot of us questioned why take a lesser WR when Jefferson was right there.
If it is true Reagor has the hops that RTK says. I agree. When you know your QB has a habit of over throwing WRs when going over 10 yards. It would be important to have a WR that can jump really high!
I agree with you RTK. This is a good reason to take a lesser WR, earlier than any other team would have. With better ones on the board.
Good scouting!

It might be and I'm sure he will drop a pass every now and then. Until proven otherwise though with his play as a pro I will maintain optimism that he will be more reliable than Agholor and JJ were last year and that alone will do wonders for the offense.

He doesn't need his WRs to be all pros. He just needs competence and some WRs who will make a play every once in awhile.

I don't think he's a lesser WR and that has nothing to do with the Eagles drafting him. I had Reagor ranked higher heading I to the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if Jefferson turned out to be a pretty good WR in the NFL. I don't think he has anywhere near the high ceiling that Reagor has though.

It was there in college.

55% catch percentage isn't that he's dropping 45% of the passes thrown his way. That's one of the all time great deep threats who has always primarily been used as a deep threat so most throws his way are these low percentage throws far down the field which many times throughout his career has just been a QB throwing it away more than anything else.

so his avg depth of target is what 45 yards?

Let's do this. Dak or Wentz as your QB moving forward

Also there you horribly attempt to justify why you like raegor. You try to compare to steve smith, and your comparisons on why, are off horribly...........

So he was fast in college, where is the production.......I'll wiat for the " it was the qb" thing.....but if hes so great at jumping and high pointing, against those nasty B12 D's, it shouldnt matter.I mean WR's coming from the MAC dont have good qb play and somehow catch footballs

Steve Smith is by far the closest comparison for him.

Stats are there for him but projection to NFL isn't all about stat accumulation in college. He is a very athletically gifted WR with a skill set that allows for a very high ceiling of potential for the Eagles to try and develop.

so hes fast and can jump.

lets circle back to djax......

-4 1k yard seasons in 12 years.......
-One year with 9 Td's, 2 years with 6, under 5 every other year.....receiving..return touchdowns dont change this much
-2-62 catch season, 1-82 catch season, Under 60 every other year, in fact 6 seasons of 50 or less
-Targets arent the issue, 56% reception rate may be, yes hes thrown alot of deepn balls, but a dude getting 100+targets 5 seasons, 90+8 seasons and one with 87......hes gotten plenty of looks......

I know i know he had a really nice YPC.......

Lets take 2009, hes best statistical season.......which was over a decade ago.....
38th in receptions
12th in yards
12th in TD's
11th in Yards per target
154th!!!in catch percentage
2ndin YPR

so again, BEST year he had by far, and hes not cracking top ten.......but that YPR.......#1 was mike wallace with 1% better catch percentage on less targets, significantly less. Mohammed mAssoqui or whatever was 3rd with terrible numbers but the guys at 4-5-6, 7, 8 and counting all had better catch percentages............

never was he dominant
