Anyone got word on what MLB ticket will cost? I'll probably pony up for it.

Edit:

$90.

Wasn't it like $200 for the 162 game season?

I call shenanigans on their prorating methods.

I've been super lucky with the NFL ticket. I'm going on my 3rd straight year where I'm getting it for free. But DirecTV has never offered any cut to the MLB package, altho they usually give everyone the first week at no charge. Wonder how this season will be handled.

Our SP was 0-6 with an almost 6 ERA in AAA last year....gets taken deep to center in the first inning.

Why do I bother watching this exhibition sh*t?

They go full blown media suck off on Robert and he k’s on 3 pitches...looking on strike 3 and losing hold of his bat and sending it about 30 feet on pitch 1.

White Sox fans can’t catch a break with the National audience lol

Meaningless, yet fun game. I was impressed with Detwiler, Lambert, and Heuer in their limited actions on the mound. Detwiler was particularly effective. He pretty much stunk up the joint last year, but he might be the closest pitcher on the roster who can double as long reliever and spot starter. Wonder if he'll make the final 30.

Robert followed with a single and a double lost in the ivy - not a bad debut.

We were showing signs of getting to Hendricks the second time around...which is good...but they pulled him before we really knew what that would become of it and we roasted that Cotton dude. I mean...It's nice to batter scrubs...but we'll see. Thursday can't come soon enough.

As far as the "regular" season goes - the Cubs exposed Hendricks and the Sox exposed Drew Anderson. The Sox will have seen Hendricks and the Cubs will likely never see Drew Anderson when the games count.

Plus the Sox got long counts against Hendricks most of the night.

Eh...Hendricks is a good pitcher and by the time we see them in August this game will be a distant memory. I don't see this game mattering much by then.

My only concern: We need to come out strong vs. the Twins to keep the momentum from the offseason going for, not just us as the fans, but the players on the field. That's it...Win 2-3 vs. the Twins. Go Go White Sox.

Some notes on last night's 5-3 win:

*Keuchel looked absolutely masterful out there in his 5 innings of effortless one-hit work. Granted, he didn't face the entire Cubs starting lineup, but that's still not taking away how he kept the hitters guessing and keeping the ball down & away from them. 10 of his outs resulted from ground balls, and I think only 3 balls in total left the infield. Amazing.

*The Sox have scored a total of 12 runs in their two games, 11 of them in just two innings. As impressed as I am with those two explosions, it would be nice to see a few more scattered in other innings.

*Danny Mendick did not help his cause to show he's a capable backup at SS with those back-back miscues, leading to all unearned three runs. But I suppose we can cut him some slack. He's otherwise pretty dependable.

*If the Sox and Cubs played an entire 162 game schedule against each other, Jimenez would set every offensive run producing record in history. He just loves playing against the team that traded him.
