Crazy how more baseball players are opting out compared to basketball and those guys are not stuck in a bubble

I guess because it's the NBA playoffs, it matters. The baseball season this year will be a total asterisk clown show. Not enough games, etc

kind of hard when the NBA won’t do that but I’m all for it.

There are other topics to talk about. Which team plays lousy the 8 games back and messes up their own playoff seed? Is everything rigged if favor of Zion getting the Pels to the playoffs? I hope the Lakers get bounced in the first round. That's for @ChiefsLakers67 @trojanfan12 @Shaqdaddy11. What will LeBron's hair look like? Will buckboy be allowed back in time to watch his Giannis led Bucks fall short of their ultimate goal? Will Kyrie say he already hates the city of Brooklyn?

I don’t think it is that crazy. A lot of players probably feel it is not worth the time/risk/money. Especially if players believe like I do that the odds of the MLB season eventually be shut down for good are fairly high.

Willing to bet more players would opt out if not for the bubble in the NBA. Also, like I have said before, big difference between starting a season and finishing one.

No.

I had zero interest.

Was it any good?

Heard something about a Piston fan suggesting the decision via Bill Simmons.

Yeah, they were both pretty good.

The first one, I forget what it was called, was basically about Lebron, Maverick, Carter, Rich Paul and Randy Mims and how they all have stayed together and built what they have.

The 2nd one was the "backstory" on The Decision and all of the fallout from that.

I liked the first one better because it gave a lot of interesting info that I didn't know.

you haven’t heard? Kyrie proved he is right about the earth being flat by walking off the edge.

I like it.

But, are they tweaking the offense?

Mobile isn't the first, fifth or fiftieth adjective that comes to mind when describing Brady.

So, you can't just plug Cam into what they usually do, right?

Great move by the Pats. It's extremely low risk with a potentially huge reward.

Josh McDaniels is the OC and from what is being said, they will run an offense that will be similar to what he ran in Denver with Tebow.

Basically, a run heavy offense with a lot of run/pass option plays and moving him around the pocket and on the edges to throw.

It should work because, in a lot of ways, Cam is a more talented Tebow.

Tebow managed to have a winning record and get a playoff win in that offense. I'd expect a guy like Cam can do a good bit better.

Didn't even notice until you mentioned it. Usually when I click on thread I scroll down first and read all the comments in reverse order. Puts an interesting spin on things.
Gone a few days so first I'm hearing as well.

Great move by Cam, too. Clearly, he wants to re-establish himself and where would be a better place for him? a 4th rounder who has barely played more than me and career backup entrenched there now. Pretty decent coach. while they might regress, not likely to be bad enough to get a high pick and get their QB of future high in the next draft to replace him if he succeeds.

It's a good term. When one of your members called me a racist nobody on that forum came to my defense. I believe calling you snowflakes is being too kind.
as is so often the case, those who use this term are usually the snowflakiest.

Not trying to be a dick.

But, even when most of what we are discussing has a direct correlation with restarting the basketball Season?

It's pretty easy to find a direct link from Covid, Politics, Protesting to the NBA restart.
was thinking the same....sadly, these days, so many discussions become political.
