UVA tied with Gonzaga for best odds to win tht title next year. Not surprised about Gonzaga, but UVA is a little surprising.
We have four people coming in (one transfer) this year and only losing two key contributors. As long as we can play good defense, we should be in the conversation. Just have to shoot better because we didn’t have many guys that could do that this past season.Villanova is a good bet at 28-1. I take that if it remains when the Sportsbooks local here open the odds. FSU at 20-1 is also a steal.
As is expected, odds are all over the place.
I agree that UVA at 9-1 is horrendous bet. I think when Nova won in 2018 and lost 4 NBA players they kept them at 10-1 the next year. And it made no sense.
Some of the odds just have no logic. But I think the logic of the bookmakers is Miami at 50-1 (how the hell?) and Iowa at 50-1, it doesn't make a difference, since either have little chance of winning. Even though Iowa has a much better chance in reality.

Yeah, if we had gotten into the sweet 16 this year, I think it would’ve been a successful year. As for odds, you’re right, 9-1 might be a little high but I feel somewhere between 15 and 20-1 would probably be reasonable.Hauser is coming in. Very familiar with him.
Don't get me wrong, you guys will be in the mix, but 9-1 is generous.
In any case, you'll have a much better chance defending the title next year than this year.
I put 500 on Iowa . 50-1 is nuts for a likely top 10 team preseason. Id say that for any likely top 10 type team. Not just Iowa
Maybe. Makes sense but hes shown zero that would make me think hes leaving. Already talking about next years team. Stuff changes so who knows thoughMy only guess is the oddsmakers think Garza will be going pro? He's one of those guys that could make a great living overseas if he doesn't make an NBA roster
