Crazy how one season changes everything.

Just a year ago, Rams were a young, exciting team with tons of potential.

Now, they look to be the worst team in a very tough division. Goff is not carrying this team on his shoulders. He is not that kind of QB ( even though he is being paid as such ).

Gurley was the engine that drove this team, and now he is gone. The Rams will soon realize the grass is not greener on the other side.

well, the way things are going... who knows.

I get it business move... they are looking like the smartest FO in the world if he doesn't get hurt but hind site is 2020. But golden boy did mention his mishap by not using him more so that part is on him. If only i could be a fly on the wall in those coaches meetings. At this point i want to know what the plan is for the run game as I'm not sold on DH's 3.8 yards per carry either.

Everyone agrees he mismanage using Gurley, but two things we have to consider, number one, we don't know what was going behind close doors with Gurley attitude wise, could of played a part of it. Number two, feed the hot guy they say, Gurley's productivity was pretty lousy last year.

Are we serious enough believe that Gurley was the blah blah engine, blah blah irreplaceable player? Complete garbage. Aaron Donald is the only irreplaceable player, and Sean McVay is the person we can't afford to lose, this team, Gurley were nothing special until McVay. McVay is addressing our weaknesses like he is suppose, we didn't have the greatest success last year for various reasons.

1. Emergence of the 49ers

2. Special teams, mostly our return game was really bad, how many drives we started from our own 10 yard line.

3. Defense couldn't get off the field, we were among the worst in the NFL is getting 3rd and 4th down stops, lots of 4th down were attempted on us because coaches played the percentages. Which is why Wade is gone, if you're bad at getting stops on 3rd down, you are not putting your players in position to succeed. Wade is still out there looking for work.

4. Mishmash offensive line, no they weren't great, injuries here and there too, but you know how great McVay is he adjusted the offense and still got them to average 30 ppg down the stretch, be in the top 3 of big plays and top 6 in redzone offense.

5. Hardest schedule in the football, we didn't have home back to back until the middle of November, middle of November, we took 2 east coast trips in the first half of the season and one to Cleveland, not to mention we played the toughest opponents record wise than anyone else.

6. Goff and Gurley's production, Goff was terrible to start the season, but McVay being the great adjuster, got them to make the right adjustments. Last 5 games, Goff averaged 300+ yards a game, 11 TDs passes, no qb rating under 84. Gurley started off bad and ended bad.

7. Secondary, injuries and bad play. Peters sucked out there, he goes to Baltimore and looks like an All Pro, coaching!

The draft is going to be a roller coaster as McSnead will continue build with younger, talented, and cheaper players.

At some level we were buying into the hype of several players who were being retained because the coaches who coached them believe the same. Change the coaches and suddenly the weaknesses we tolerated are exposed. Now the work of getting good, young, and talented players to fill in the gaps is underway. We should see a different team in September. Depending on how things play out, McVay will once again be perceived as a genius or a jackass.

You mean, like when Gurley looks better than any Rams RB?

History is not on Gurley's side. Many of the recent ex-Rams like Trumaine, Olgletree, Jenkins, and Robinson failed miserably with other teams and all have been released except maybe Tree. Many are out of football and I have this suspicion that the same will befall Gurley. We are projected to take a RB in the third or fourth and the consensus is Zac Moss out of Utah.

Henderson watched and learned last year while saving himself a lot of hits. He’s got to work on his vision but he’s got 4.3 speed man. That’s Titans Chris Johnson wheels there

And the Rams will either draft a RB middle of the draft or sign a guy like CJ which is what they need. Someone with beef that can hit

He’s much more of a fan favorite than Goff. It sucks to see him go but it was the contract. He could have put up record numbers this year and he’s still probably gone.

He definitely is more of a fan favorite

And Henderson was also injured more than Gurley too

That’s not a good start.

That’s why you have a RB by committee like the Pats. And none of them have a hefty contract. That’s how you wear out a Defense and get them to commit.

I’m just saying Henderson has loads of talent. His vision needs work but he’s explosive.
