Dude, that is the laziest stat known to mankind. Cfb teams didn't even play 11 games for several decades, and you skip over UMn's winning SIX Natl Titles inbetween 1905-1971 when the Gophers finally started playing 11 games again.

And I never said they were consistent. The BB team has had a down period, the FB team had a very long down period, even the hockey team has had a few down years, the Baseball team hasn't always be one of the best in the B1G, the wrestling program has had down years, there is hardly a school anywhere in the country that can claim otherwise.

Sh1t, Gophers beat Bama in football in the 21st Century even.

You realize the cfb Titles are not counted, right? So UMn has 6 of those that are considered "recognized" along with several others that were less recognized.

Nor are the Cbb titles pre-1939, of which UMn has 3 of.

Nor are UMn's Titles in college hockey in the 20's and 30's counted(7 of them, I think?).

Wiki lists UMn as having a Title in 1940 in hockey, too, as they won the AAU Natl Championship.

UMn has 8 Dual tourney Natl Titles in Wrestling.

UMn also has 2 Natl Titles in National Indoor Collegiate Match, in 1933 and 1941. I've not yet mentioned those yet. But I want to make sure Ralphie has an excuse to talk about his school's many Titles in Shooting sports.

And I read somewhere that UMn won 2 Natl Titles in Strong Man Competition way back in the day.

Oh, did I mention their Natl Title in 5 man pocket pool?
