Burrow isn’t getting past cincy. However, Miami would love Tua. I would still trade with a Miami so they can get their QB and we can get their 3 1sts.

I agree, Burrow is going first to Cincy! I was just responding to the hypothetical that had Cincy selecting or trading in order to have someone else get Young.

now lets look at a possible trade scenario involving the dolphins 3 1st rounders

if we traded back we have the choice between thomas at LT and simmons at LB , in this case i would take simmons at LB if TW was in the fold

next at 18 tritian wirfs , an OT is on the board and in fact he could take either moses spot or TW at OT

then finally i look at TE albert okweubugnam

now you are telling me that a haul of those 3 guys in the draft isnt at least worth kicking the tires on ? we have an overabundance at edge with young in the fold and will his number of sacks make the difference ?

now free agency will determine a lot and i think drafting chase is the right move however it certainly would be worth looking at a trade like that if offered .

It is worth deep consideration and it's a great position to be in.

BTW: Great pass rushing isn't merely about getting sacks, so to reduce it to that serves no purpose beyond trying to equalize the truly great ones with those who can just get numbers. If, as has been reported by numerous sources, this guy Young is that true generational superstar that consideration must count for and against thoughts of trades.

To be clear (again if true) would we be willing to trade Lawrence Taylor for the haul that's being outlined?

How could you not consider that haul? We get a starting OT, a starting OLB and a starting TE? And we still haven't made it to the 2nd round? This is how you get healthy quickly.............

I could be wrong, but I don't see a scenario where the Dolphins give up their entire 1st round (3 1st) to move up three spots with Herbert on the board.

Five and 18 matches point wise on the value chart. I understand that chart is not the end all be all, but three 1st rounders all in the same year?

Come on guys.

It probably is a bit much, but the precedence has been set. We paid very similar for RG3 to move up to the second pick. I know we could get two of them and probably a second.

Tua just announced he is coming out. That is real good news for us. The value of that second pick just went up significantly if we decide to trade it.

Because PRESSURE creates turnovers. Turnovers are game CHANGERS!!!
I would argue that sacks and pressure won’t be changed much . As those stats show

And I will argue that adding Young to Sweat Allen Payne Ioanadis Rivera Del Rio will translate to pressure & TO. The whole picture is what were talking about.

We could really help our offense by trading down, picking up a WR, RB or OL in round 1. Imagine adding Juedy & Taylor.
