Obviously this is just more proof that the Big12 should expand and get some cream puffs like Rutgers, Maryland,Pitt,Syracuse, Miami ect. so as to ease up on beating the piss out of one another and then getting killed in bowl season on account of all our players being hurt..

You are correct. They are underdogs in all six of their bowl games. The Bowl selection committee did not do them any favors with the matchups

It's all Iowa State's fault due to fan support. They took 25,000 fans or so to Memphis for the 2017 Liberty Bowl. So, two years in a row, the Cyclones have been kicked up the Bowl ladder because of the number of fans who follow the team for Bowls. So, last year, the (8-4) Cyclones played Wash. State (10-2) @ Alamo and this year the (7-5) Cyclones played (10-2) ND @ Camping World.

Most ISU fans think this a good thing, and the A.D. Jamie Pollard lobbies for this to happen. I'd be okay with it if the Cyclones could win, but it has been back to back Bowl thuds, and I am glad I didn't attend either game - as I don't like to see them lose in person. The Cyclones should have been in the Liberty (again) vs. Navy and let K-State (8-4) or Okla. State (8-4) get humbled by ND.

Well, thank you very much! Did you enjoy the Auburn Sugar Bowl loss to Oklahoma - when the Tigers were kicked up a notch and over-matched? Did you make the trip? Spend the money? The Bowl Games should be between two teams of similar levels for a good game that can go either way. Where is the fun in travelling to Orlando from Iowa to see the Cyclones lose 33-9 because they were over-matched? It's not the Bowl, it's the match-up that is out of whack.

I appreciate your sarcasm, but I disagree with that. Iowa State (7-5) wanted to be @ Camping World and playing Notre Dame (10-2) was a sexier opponent than the Cyclones usually draw. Problem is that they were not good enough to compete with them - which makes it no fun for a fan like me (who wants to see a good game). Kudos to the ND team for "Playing like a Champion" instead of whining and crying about who they had to play!

The opponent really doesn't matter to me. I'll take the Rose Bowl over the Cotton Bowl any time. The goal is to make the best bowl you can, not to play a team you know you can beat.
