Biggest problem for Kitchens, imo, is that this is not the team you want a first year head coach with. It would be fine for them to kind of grow together if this were a team with low expectations. But when you take a team that finished last season strong and had playoff expectations...you don't want a first year coach. Especially when you add big personalities like OBJ.

I think the biggest problem for him has not bee OBJ as much as it has been Baker. I almost think the guy is a little afraid of Baker and to hold him accountable. worst he will say about him is "he knows he needs to play better".

But he has benched or even suspended others who don't play well. Not saying he should bench Baker, as he shouldn't. But tell the kid when he is acting like a douche at least. Maybe he is, and I hope that's the case.

Probably been mentioned by now but if not seemed like it was done simply to get the kids more PT (and to help out Clarkson as not good for him if they sit him.

Thought they might get more for him, but 2 seconds are what was used to move up for Porter.

I'm not a huge NFL fan. But, I watched it a lot this Season.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Baker's petulance is the reason folks are enjoying watching them fail spectacularly.

There have been overhyped teams every year, in every sport.

But, it wasn't celebrated like what's happening with the Browns.

Like other players, the issue is few will look at Baker rationally. Most are either a fanboy or hate the kid and want him to fail. Personally, I've never cared for his personality, even when he was playing well last year and before this season.

Thought he was a douche to call out Hue Jackson for taking a job after he was fired and for getting in Duke Johnson's business when he asked for a trade (supposedly something that is taboo for other players). will say I thought his postgame presser was one of his best in a while after the last loss.

But I also think it's possible with the right coach/scheme he can get back to playing how he did as a rookie and even improve on that season. Would be great, too, if said coach held him accountable and could teach him to be a pro/adult.

will add this season also not all on Baker as his detractors think (not talking about from here, more from Browns forums). As mentioned, coaching a big issue, as well as the defense. I'd also undo every trade the GM made in the offseason if I could.

Agree to a point. OBJ definitely isn't the only problem/big personality. Despite a couple of sideline antics, he may actually be the least of the problems. But he's had a couple of sideline issues himself.

Maybe he feels beholden to Baker since most seem to think he was hired because Baker liked him.

Plus, as a team, the Browns don't really seem to let stuff go. You can't be talking/complaining about last weeks game while preparing for the upcoming game.

When the head coach is wearing a "Pittsburgh Started It" t-shirt, it doesn't really send the message of "we're moving on to the upcoming game" to the team.

Hoping you realize this, too, is just opinion. I do not think there has been a bigger gap between Brees this year and LJ/Mahomes. Brees has been elite this year and the reason his team has won many games. KC was 1-1 without Mahomes. No, not 5-0, but also didn't play a bunch of middling teams like Bridgewater did. Beat Minnesota and lost a close game to GB.
