Same top 3, but I'd go Rice, Hutson, Moss.

No idea what the list says, I'm not getting the free trial.

Don Maynard better be on it though.

I have Rice and Moss as top 2 , never watched Hutson play

I dont see a top ten list at all.

Just assume it must have a packer(s) on the list for him to give a shit to post it.

Which is pretty typical of a Cowboy fan.

He recently admitted his love for the Packers after years of denial on this board.

In any case, these lists comparing guys from the 30's and such to modern era players are straight up stupid as hell. The game has changed so much over the years that it's very difficult to accurately compare players whose primes were beyond 20 years apart.

Hutson was simply in a league of his own, to discredit what he accomplished is what's stupid.

Where did I discredit him? All I said that comparing guys from the 30's to guys from the 2000's and beyond is nonsensical. That's not crapping on anyone, just acknowleding that the game is way too different now to assume how these guys would be in different eras. You're talking about a guy whose entire career took place during the NFL's segregation period lol. To auatomatically claim he'd be a beast in today's game makes no more sense than saying top receivers of today would automatically whoop the competition if told to compete in 1930's NFL football.

Well if you are making an all time list. You are gonna kind of have too.
But I definitely agree you cant just look at stats when you do. otherwise you would be calling some nowadays journeymen better than some of the all time greats. You do have to look at how they affected the game when they played.
Again I cant see the top ten list, but a WR I dont hear a lot about is one Lance Alworth. Defenses (from things I read) started with Zone defenses because of him. he was to fast for man to man. That is one player that helped change the NFL.
So is there a Charger in that top ten list?

You are obviously discrediting him or you wouldn't have said anything.

You're not making any sense. I literally just "discredited" modern players just as much as I did him based on your logic.

They rated Don Hutson at #2. I'd rate him at #1.

You seem to think I am insane for questioning this list of all-time greats. This list puts Don Hutson over Randy Moss. From years of knowing your thoughts on football on this board, I pretty clearly remember you agreeing with me that there is an arguement to be made that Moss was more talented than Jerry Rice, who is almost always listed as #1 in any of these types of lists. I had a thread about it on the Vikings board here a few years ago that actually caught wind with some outsider fans.

So let me get this straight, bud. You're telling me that you wouldn't call someone insane for taking a rookie Don Hutson on their team over a rookie Randy Moss if they had the choice?

Yeah, I remember what people say. Don't think I won't call you out on it.

Honestly, the list is complete horse chit just for having Calvin Johnson on it at all. And putting him over Marvin Harrison? Putting a guy with 83 TD's over a guy with 128 when they played in damn near the same eras? Give me a break.

Safe to assume Herman Moore is on the list also?

Breh I like Calvin Johnson. Considered him as talented as they come, but was on a chit team his entire career. But I still can't argue for him being over a guy like Marvin Harrison, even though I *think* Calvin Johnson would have been the better player had he been with Peyton Manning all those years and their roles reversed.

I don't.

Calvin was allergic to making plays when it mattered. Anti clutch. Not even the best Lions receiver of my lifetime.

Remarkable athlete though.
