lol

God forbid these players should be allowed to work where they want...you know, like the rest of us.

If a team doesn't put the players around their star player to help them win titles, then with very few exceptions, they're going to leave.

Sometimes, they'll choose to leave even if they have a winning team around them. Guess what? That's their right.

Additionally, how are they throwing "their city" under the bus since the overwhelming majority of them aren't from the cities they play in?

Just because a player chooses to get involved and help out certain charitable organizations or visit schools in the city they play in, doesn't mean that it is "their city".

We all know that this is about your hate for Lebron and now Paul George (who wished injury on for having the audacity to leave your team) and that you actually blame Lebron for PG leaving.

That's what happens when you are a fan of a team that has to "trap" their superstars via the draft/trade. It does suck that all markets aren't created equal, especially if you're born and raised in one of those less fortunate markets, but it could be worse; your market could not have professional ball.

Of course, the idea of throwing your franchise/city under the bus is ridiculous, especially in the case of someone like Lebron, who has taken each of his franchises/stops to the finals repeatedly thus far (hoping that continues in LA).

Hurricane, would you rather these impending free agents NOT give these teams advance warning that they intend to leave via free agency? Leave that team empty-handed?

Exactly. I agree that it sucks that all markets aren't the same.

If a smaller/less desireable market drafts or trades for a star, chances are that player will eventually leave even if they are a winning team. But at least there's a chance they'll stay or at least stay longer than they might otherwise.

But not putting a roster around them that can win, guarantees that they'll leave.

Sure, but that has only become a bigger issue as other stars have banded together, making single-superstar rosters that much less likely to succeed.

The reason Davis left New Orleans was because some guy who shares the same agent as Davis had manipulated that trade and that whole situation in general.
Listen, Broski

I'm all aboard the Laker Nation hate train.

But, the Lakers weren't the only team on his list.

Was it his preference?

Yup.

But, the fact that he even uttered the Knicks name shows he wanted out by any means.

Just not to the Celtics.

Late to the party but lol at Harden and Houston losing after a made dunk. I hope the NBA says F U you deserve it.

A good win for the Lakers. Bottled up Jokic for most of the night. Also, a good win for the Heat.
The Mavs are getting more dangerous every night...mainly bc of that phenom.

Cavs are in tank mode now, gotta keep that top 10 pick. Wonder if they think about trading Love mid-season. I still don't think they do it...but the clock is ticking.

There is a difference between tanking and sucking.
Cavs are just God awful.
I know its early but I don’t see anything special from their last 2 drafts.

I was watching First Take this morning and it's the first time i've ever agreed with Stephen A and Max

The fact that the Rockets are bitching to the NBA and wanting to replay the last 7:50 of regular time is just laughable.

They were up by 13 points at that time and they're complaining about one missed dunk?

So they have to try to build a little differently.

They can draft a star player and hope that attracts another star player (ala Lebron to the Cavs). I know that Lebron returning to Cleveland was more about him being from Akron, but I think we can all agree that without the emergence of Kyrie, Lebron doesn't return.

Or they have to do like OKC and the Warriors...draft well and develop those players.

WAY TOO EARLY. It takes time. First year head coach. Garland is 19 YEARS OLD, he played 5 games of bball after high school before this season...he is a project. Sexton has still been very good especially at where they drafted him but he can be trade bait also only 20 years old. Not everyone can draft a Luka. If they can get a top 3 player this year..it will be nice bc there are some special players in this 2020 draft imo and Lamelo isn't one of them.

With what we've seen from Kyrie since, it's becoming more and more possible that Lebron won in Cleveland despite Kyrie instead of because of his inclusion. Maybe Lebron would've been just as successful paired with Wigg.....never mind lol.

Nah. Kyrie is a nutjob and can't lead a team. But he was a big reason the Cavs won the title they got and why they made 4 straight finals.

Tristan deserves more credit for those Finals trips than that Flat Earther. And now Kyrie thinks the Lost City of Atlantis is located within the Bermuda Triangle.

Are we surprised though? Remember when the Rockets sent the NBA an entire manifesto of the conference finals when they lost in 7 games to the Warriors detailing analytics of FT% and why they should've won because of it had CP3 not been injured.

Between that nonsense and Harden's unwatchable play, the Rockets are the worst team in the league right now. Not in terms of winning obviously.

Well, it's lost...so the Bermuda Triangle is as good a guess as any I suppose.
