I agree with you about the Vikings going for it at their own 40 yard line. They had all three timeouts left and still time on the clock. They should have punted.

I don't know, the D was tired and couldn't stop the run all night. I'm ok with going for it, but the call and execution :gaah:

Nah, that's 100% the right move. It's not like the Vikings D was being so dominant that a 3 and out would be expected had they punted, and in fact, they didn't force a 3 and out on the Seahawks' possession following the turnover on downs. Only two and a half minutes left, so you gotta go for it.

Be aggressive and put it in the hands of your offense. The success rate on 4th and 3 is about 50%. The mistake was that they didn't run the ball on 3rd and 3. If they run on 3rd and 3, they probably either get a first down or get a higher percentage 4th down play.

100% the right move to go for it. On 12 Seahawks possessions, the Vikings only forced a 3 and out three times. The success rate on 4th and 3 is about 50%. Easy call to go for it when there's only 2.5 minutes left in the game. The mistake was that they didn't run the ball on 3rd and 3. With three timeouts, they had plenty of time to do that.

 The Giants and Eagles?
pure sarcasm. Primetime has been bad this year.

I think after week 7 the league should be able to flex schedule any non-thursday games to primetime......with a caveat........that if they flex a team from sunday to monday, they cant be on the following thursday........

Fun and stressful game. NFC implications were pretty massive. Gonna be tough for the Vikings to overtake the Packers now as they will need the Pack to drop another game vs a team they will be favored against (Bears, Lions, Redskins) and beat them head to head.
Seattle firmly controls their destiny in the West even if they drop 1 of the next 3 before the week 17 showdown with SF. December is gonna be fun in the NFC

The Vikings run defense looked weak.

Hawks rush offense had something to do with it... It's not like the Vikings rush defense was so bad that they let a poor rush offense run it on them... Hawks have a very good rush offense - #3 in the league... 40 yards behind the 9er's for 2nd in the league..... Vikings run defense was ranked 13th in the league going into this weekend... It's not like they were horrible...

I think Zimmer mentioned postgame that they were caught off guard slightly with how much the Hawks ran but that was clearly the game plan. I think the flu bug hitting the receiving core this week played a part in that

what is wrong with Tyler Lockett? Two straight games with very little production.

He had the flu all week apparently and was still feeling the effects post game yesterday. That on top of the leg injury he got a couple weeks ago which i think is still an issue.

He was only targeted 3 times. He has always been the go to receiver for Wilson.

Yeah, Wilson really likes Lockett, but since the foot injury and now the flu he’s been targeted way less ... I guess 8 Seahawks has the flu during the week, that time of year....
