If I had one complaint about the show so far it is the score. I really didn't think it was very good.
It got more of a Clint Eastwood feel if you are asking meIt's good. Not kiddish. Has a bit of a David Carradine Kung fu feel to it.
from back in the day I thought the robot bounty hunter was IG-88?
Same type of droid.from back in the day I thought the robot bounty hunter was IG-88?
Wasn't blown away but I enjoyed it. I definitely intend to stick with it.
Yoda died of old age at 900 and that thing was still a baby at 50. So Yoda was a baby for at least 1/18 of his life. Seems a bit disproportionate. But whatever, it's a made up alien species and maybe Yoda got into the death sticks in his 300s.
Decent first episode. The production quality is outstanding. Disney needed to go all in with their flagship series and didn't disappoint. It dragged a little but the big battle scene was cool and it definitely gave enough to keep watching.
The payoff was meh though.
Reading the previews there was supposed to be a shocking twist and we got baby Yoda. To be fair it it was baby Jar Jar Pascal shot the wrong CGI character but when it happened I was like ok cool.
Really like the promise of the show.
LOTS of potential with this show! I hope they don't fuck it up.da's race or an actual clone of Yoda. The Empire has/had cloning facilities. Maybe Herzog's character got wind that Yoda had accessed them in the past (maybe while still in Republic control) and was thus hunting it down. Also, this makes it way more likely that we see a Sidious clone and not just a Sidious Force ghost in RoS.
This is why I really liked it as a first episode. Lays the groundwork well with how they set up the environment with all the visuals but it doesn't hold your hand through it. Felt just like a Star Wars movie without the familiar characters/worlds/obvious easter eggs. Really looking forward to what happens as it gets going.Decent first episode. The implications for the twist we got could be HUGE and even show up in RoS.Decent first episode. The production quality is outstanding. I think this in a roundabout way be a mini Yoda anthology if it explores this character's species/background
The 2nd episode was short but still pretty decent.
Do they ever say the name of the planet he was on? When the Jawas showed up with their sand crawler I started wondering if it was Tatooine. Same technology, attire, and behavior as the ones we saw in Episode 4. Didn't see the twin suns though so I'm guessing that was not Tatoooine.
Really liked episode 2. This is off to a very strong start.
The baby yodaling is just too fucking cute. I cannot describe just how damn adorable that little guy is. When he got up trying to heel Mando's wound, ugh. The feels. [/spoilers]
